#69838 Describing the Board
I run into the same dilemma. I can never think of a way to describe just how awesome the Board is, so I usually just tell the person to look at it for themselves. I think it's funny that Genuine Article mentioned the otter pop question because that's always the one I tell people about and the questi...

There's Mitt Romney who's still looking pretty good for a 65 year old.

Seriously love that store so much! I wish I had the money to get stuff from there more often.Portia wrote:ModCloth is Satan.
By which I mean it's amazing and needs all the money.

Re: choir vs band vs orchestra smackdown
I feel like the secret to dorks is that they do whatever it is they want to do, even though they know they could easily be doing something cooler. It makes them loveable. That's what I was going for when I said dorks. I guess you could also use the term geek but I tend to think of geeks as being mo...

Re: choir vs band vs orchestra smackdown
I put choir just based on attractiveness but if it were about overall compatibility I'd definitely put band. In my school the stereotypes went like this: orchestra=nerds, band=dorks, choir=cool kids. I definitely fit in better with the dorky band kids than with the type A orchestra kids or the popul...

Re: Sad Halloween Times
I'm a silent film star. Apparently it stands out because I've certainly never had so many people stare at me in my life! This sounds awesome! Who most inspired you? I don't really remember where I got the idea because I've been working on it for a few weeks now and I didn't pick one actress in part...

Re: Weird Dreams #69385
I have a disturbing amount of dreams about kissing or cuddling with boys for someone who's never had a boyfriend. Especially when the dreams include random guys who are in my classes or in my ward.

Re: Intraboard dating
Thanks for the ideas, the magic 8 ball is my favorite :) I do know the guy in real life and we bonded over our mutual love of the board so I thought he'd enjoy getting asked out via the board. I actually have a few months to think it over because he isn't at BYU this semester, so let's hope I get up...

Intraboard dating
In spite of what it may seem from the topic subject, this is actually a personal question. There's a guy that I'm interested in who is a regular reader of the Board, so I'm thinking that I could ask him out in a clever way via the Board. First question, would that be okay or would the writers think ...

Re: Introduce Yourselves!
It's so great to hear from the other readers of the Board! (and of course the writers too) My name is The Happy Medium and I've been reading the Board regularly for about a year and a half now. I heard about it from a friend last March and I read through a whole year's worth of archives while on a s...

Re: YSA 1st Stake
Maybe it's just me, but I got a lot more of "it's ok if you're not married yet" then "you're sinning if you're single" out of the conference. The Stake President mentioned specifically that he knew that many people wanted to get married and that it was a righteous desire, but tha...

Re: YSA 1st Stake
I'm in this stake and although I'm fairly conservative myself, I can usually pick up on things that others might find offensive. I think the problem that people might have had was with the one woman who spoke about the Equal Rights Amendment. She talked about how when she was in college she was offe...
