I just don't see that love in homosexual relationships. And even if those statistics are partisan (I agree that some of the numbers are presented in a partisan way), I think they still stand. A member of my family chose to live a homosexual lifestyle, and he recently died in a car accident. His life...

I'm not saying they never cheat. I'm saying they never SHOULD. It's is a legally binding contract that you enter into when you're married, isn't it? I don't understand why there aren't legal ramifications for breaking this contract, as there are with other contracts in the world, but that's a differ...

In addition to the picketing at the temple (which is a little ironic, don't you think? The people who want to vote to abolish the family are picketing the family without even understanding that), people are stealing signs (which I didn't think was that big of a deal until I heard this...) and a memb...

Imogen, I find it interesting that you take a stance (on nearly everything you've talked about) that we as humans rarely have choices. You think that homosexuality is entirely genetic and that they have no choice on the matter. You think that it's impossible to control who you love. I think that thi...

Nerdgirl, stepping away from the radical, then. What about a man marrying his sister? or even brother, in that case. Who's to stop that? I thought it wasn't legal for the same reasons as homosexuality: It's something that sociecty can see is not biologicaly right because the union produces no (or se...

Might I also point out, Imogen, that we (for the most part, I think) believe that people can be born with homosexual tendencies in the same way that a person can be born an alcoholic. They may have that propensity towards a particular behavior, but it is a choice whether or not they succumb and prac...

I don't have issues with mine. I didn't like the lace at first--it is kinda itchy. But I got used to it. And I second the problem with the legs coming up. Sometimes I'll pull on my jeans and realize that the legs of my bottoms have rolled up and now form a small lump all the way around my leg. Sigh....

As another point, if we change the defination of marriage to include a man and a man, or a woman and a woman, then what has it become? Who's to say it can't include a man and a dog? A man and three women? two men and two women? i mean, if marriage is all and only about love, and a man really loves a...

VB, thanks for your comments. Choosing to live a homosexual life is a sin. That has been stated by prophets and is therefore a fact. I understand the plea for compassion. Disapprove of the sin, love the sinner, right? I have had many friends (and I think all of us who attended a public high school h...

In response to Imogen, no one ever said anything about anyone going to Hell, or about this being a signal of the second coming. I believe he also said that we have rights to our beliefs, and the fact that homosexuality is a sin is a belief. I think that people need to ask more questions before they ...

Did you know?
Did you know that the dinosaur bones aren't under the stadium anymore!? BYU made the professors move them to the earth science museum N or campus. Now they're all stored in the garage-like storage part of the museum! I've seen them!

one more thing
Before I sign off for now, might I also share this article: http://articles.latimes.com/2008/jul/02/local/me-holyfield2 It's about a police officer who is also a pastor, making this something that could happen in our church, easily, becuase all of our clergy have outside jobs. This man, in the cours...

just the word?
And a PS: just for those of you who still believe that this prop is all about the use of a word, it's not. There's an adgenda. Just look at this website made by gay people in Canada, where Gay marriage is legalized. http://www.xtra.ca/public/viewstory.aspx?AFF_TYPE=2&STORY_ID=5228&PUB_TEMPLA...

education and same-sex marriage
The problem isn't educating our children about the world. We live in the world, we have to learn about it. The problem arises when immoral things are glorified. For example: I believe that teaching about all religions in school is a good thing. It allows us to learn about many other respectable beli...

RE: SOUE
well, I did like the movie, especially the look of the movie and the casting: even Jim-bo. However, it was an entirely different thing than the series, and people who don't get the whole, movies-are-different-than-books idea will, I think, be turned off from one or the other. Moral of the story: I e...
