Re: uppgivenhetssyndrom (giving up on life syndrome

Regarding that episode of This American Life, I'm not a dualist, so while I agree it was well put together, especially for 15 years ago, I wouldn't call it much else. Then again, I am very, very angry about this whole S-Town thing, so it could just be that. As for the quote, I haven't listened to t...

I think one way that helps get someone interested that isn't interested is showing the applications of it and what it can be used to do.

Re: What makes you happy today?

Yesterday was my first depression-free day since the beginning of July. Yay for medicine working more obviously. (Today was not the same, but at least I know there's hope.)

The good news: we found and bought a car last night.

The weird news: I got a call when I got home from the police who had recovered my car.

Oh just relationship problems that have technically always existed are now becoming much more obvious with a relationship, depression, and wedding planning being in the way.

Yeah, if I actually recover my car (which may be possible--kids in my ward mentioned that their stolen cars had often been recovered within a few blocks of the complex), I'm changing the locks ASAP Actually everyone I know of who's had their car stolen from our illustrious abode has had it recovere...

Re: Rant of the Day

Oh, so awhile back, Tally, you asked the Board for crazy wedding stories. Here's mine: A groomsman's girlfriend called me on the afternoon of the rehearsal and asked, "So.....is there a first aid kit up at the church?" He had stepped on a broken bottle in the parking lot of their hotel an...

Why?
According to the police officer, Honda only made about 7 different keys, making it incredibly easy to break into any of them if you've got a set of keys.

Re: Rant of the Day

Unbeknownst to me, not only is my car the most stolen in Utah (a 90s Honda Civic), but my complex also often has reports of stolen cars (and the managers don't check security cameras and/or actually have any footage to check). Bad news besides that: I don't have comprehensive coverage. Good news: I ...

Well, okay, except. We all had those answers that just sat around in the inbox that no one touched and everyone is busy so you give the best you have and that'll have to do it. It's a volunteer organization, after all, and that question isn't exactly going to change anyone's life. Then Zed comes al...

That'd be me. I've wanted a sapphire for as long as I can remember. Turns out it's his birthstone so that's an unexpected perk.

@Portia: I take it you didn't see this? No! This is what happens when I actually, like, do my job. LOL As I've mentioned before, I like colorful engagement ring stones, and blue is the best. :-) Is it a sapphire, blue diamond, CZ, or something else? (Also, you two look very "couple-y" and...

@Portia: I take it you didn't see this? @TBS: Thanks. I had a week of fatigue before I got a sore throat, but I didn't think they could be connected until I went back last night and they did a blood test. I'm relatively high functioning from what I expected from mono, and luckily I can work from home.
