Re: What's for dinner?

I slow cooked two full chickens the other day and canned 13 pints of broth. Now I have a giant bowl of shredded chicken in my fridge that I'm trying desperately to use. So far we've had chicken alfredo, chicken sloppy joes and honey lime enchiladas. Any other suggestions of easy and delicious, and n...

Re: Word of the Day

Pet peeve: when people say the Hebrew plural -im as im instead of eem. (Sorry, I don't remember my phonetics.) For example. Eloheim. It is Elo-heem. Not Elo-him. I'm trying hard to get over it so I'm not annoyed All The Time in the temple. :D Do you say "Ureem and Thummeem" as well? [blin...

Re: Word of the Day

I think it bugs me more at the temple because, certainly they have Hebrew language experts on staff... right? Random Hebrew pronunciation creation trivia to make up for it. In Hebrew, Eve is pronounced Hah-vah. With a breathy H. So it's kind of like you're breathing in and then out. So when Adam nam...

Yeah, I'm confused, too. Because you apparently had lunch and went to sacrament meeting at the same time?

Re: Word of the Day

I have never before today made the connection that cherub is the singular form of cherubim (possibly because I typically pronounce the former with a /tʃ/ and the latter with a /k/). Pet peeve: when people say the Hebrew plural -im as im instead of eem. (Sorry, I don't remember my phonetics.) For ex...

http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/76093/ One huge aspect of the gay male relationship that I appreciate is the more leveled playing field that we have. We’re both men. If one of us opens the door for the other on a whim of affection or chivalry, it wasn’t expected because he was the “man.” It was s...

Re: little factories

How would you define the difference between someone who avoids masturbation because of tradition and one who avoids it due to personal conviction that it is not the right choice for them? The two reasonings are often tightly interconnected. But there's going to be a lot more social guilt associated...

Re: wedding expos

A lot of people go because they know someone getting married and are usually part of the planning process. Moms. Girl friends. Roommates. Sisters. Bridesmaids. Or maybe they want to grow up and be in the business. Or are in the business and are going to check out competition or get ideas. Mom: Dead...

Re: Answers I liked

This question made me realize how relatively good my boyfriend and I have it. We make 2.5 times that, combined, no kids. Our insurance isn't great, but it will do, and we get to eat out, buy new clothes when we want, and go to movies all the time. And we sometimes feel "broke," so yeah. I...

Re: Happy Days in Random Chatter 10

I want to cut mine soon. I like my hair shorter a lot better. But I have this fear that if I cut it then it won't be long enough to pull back when I have this baby, and I don't want hair falling in my face during labor. Is that a lame reason? Especially as it's still fish months away?

Re: 76017 Frozen

Question about Kristoff. I assumed at the beginning that he was out cutting ice with his dad. But then later it indicates that he has no family and was all alone. I just assume he got sidetracked when he first saw the trolls and went back home when he was done. What am I missing?

Re: Happy Days in Random Chatter 10

When the flip did I get so smooth? I've managed to talk to a guy I've wanted to talk to for a really long time, get two guys' numbers at a party, *and* ask a random guy on a date (not completely random, but I don't know him from anywhere else). Actually, I think I have an answer. I dress nice not f...

Oh yeah. Elsa's singing voice (I don't know about her speaking voice; never looked it up) is Elphaba from Wicked. :D Another good reason. :D

Because Tangled is one of the best children's movies out there, in my opinion. Including Pixar.

Re: 76017 Frozen

A) We just barely saw it and I was so excited for it. But everyone kept posting everything on Facebook and I was always afraid of spoilers and I hated it (even though I knew it was my own fault), so I'm really glad that this question and this thread waited for me to see it. B) We took Dragon Baby to...
