Re: "Mormon" vs. "LDS"

I would argue that one could be Mormon without necessarily being active in the LDS church. Possible examples: ... Culturally: ... have played the piano since the age of 3 and collect board games... well, you're not normal, that's for sure. Good chance you're "Mormon" if you were at least ...

Re: SAHM

This whole conversation can be summed up in one of two sentences: "My mom is better than your mom!" or "I am a better mom than you are!" Seriously, I don't see why we need to judge one or the other as superior or inferior, more or less challenging, or more or less awesome. They'r...

Re: SAHM

The main thing I got out of this was that it is not a black and white comparison. Obviously being a SAHM or a working mom are extremely different situations. But at the same time, there is a wide range of situations and attitudes out there. There are some moms that work and still spend a ton of time...

Re: Egypt's emerging "democracy"

I am not Marduk, but since you asked, I don't think that the current leadership will be overthrown unless someone on the outside does something about it. Unlike Mubarak and company, the Libyan regime seems to have no qualms about massacring its citizens to maintain power. For this reason, I'm skepti...

Re: Grenade!!

I think it totally has to do with the song...he drags the piano all the way across town to her window but she wouldn't even listen cause she was with the other dude. I'm not a huge Bruno Mars fan but that was an interesting video.

#62130 : ez/es suffixes in Spanish Surnames

Question link : 62130

I posted a comment saying so, but I'm pretty sure that the ez suffix in Spanish surnames identifies the surname as meaning 'son of' (Gonzales = son of Gonzalo). Wikipedia seems to agree with me.

I think "George of the Jungle 2" is not only the worst sequel, but the worst movie I have ever seen. Unwatchable.

Re: The "soul mates" quote, out of context

Here's another thing to consider, though: what happens in the situation where you find out about some personality quirk that you think is horribly annoying when you're either married already or seriously close to doing so? Do you back out because of that? I think that not being able to adjust to som...

Re: Introduce Yourselves!

I'm going to re-introduce myself, since I was here once upon a time...a long long time ago.

I'm a BYU student, I like basketball(Portland Trail Blazers), music (creating and listening), reading (of all kinds), writing, and computer programming.

I think that writers ought to give readers the benefit of the doubt (as far as their intentions, intelligence, illogicalness, or whatever) more often.

It seems presumptuous to make demands of a gratuitous service. Just asking a question is making a demand - isn't the asker allowed to make more demands if werf wants to? This one in particular went way over the line, I agree, but in a lot of cases I think it's all right. To make the reverse argumen...
