I really liked Rating Pending's point about how Jesus and His mission are despised and rejected of men today, regardless of how He was received in His mortal ministry. This is what I've always thought: It seems to me like Jesus was rejected by three groups of people: the corrupt priests/Saduccees in...

Question limit
Aww...I can't submit any more questions because I have four waiting to be answered. Didn't the limit used to be seven? Sheesh.

I don't consider myself to be actually running unless I'm gasping for breath and sweating buckets (regardless of the outside temperature). Otherwise it's just jogging. Wrestling is probably more exhausting than the jogging that most people do, but I really don't think it costs more calories than act...

Whoa, you guys. Is pidgin pronounced like pigeon? I'm familiar with the word, but I always read it in my head as pigdin, and pronounced it like...pig-din. And then today I was wondering why such smart people were misspelling the same word the same way, so I looked it up and realized I had been wrong...

You might like the 2009 Star Trek soundtrack. It actually reminded me of Pirates a lot. Umm, but some of my favorite soundtracks ever that haven't been listed yet (or maybe they have, I didn't read the whole thread) are the Darjeeling Limited soundtrack and Leonard Bernstein's 1998 opera recording o...

When I read HBP, I was so freaked out by the Inferi stuff that I slept with my lights on for about a week. In the movie, there was like one jumpy part with them but it wasn't nearly as scary as it was in my head. I was disappointed, but I think that's just the way it goes with movie adaptations: the...

Wait, the BYU-Utah game isn't the MWC Championship game. (I don't think . . . ?) Isn't it pretty clear that TCU would win that? Are they not in our conference, like I thought? I think he is assuming that that if TCU goes to a BCS bowl game, then they won't be able to be MWC Champions. I have no clu...

Maybe 'Poser Nerd Girl'? Maybe so. I did run a computer program that took like 26 hours yesterday, though, and I'm about to upgrade my Mac to Snow Leopard, so that's got to count for something. Maybe I should ask the board to explain what exactly the difference is between a nerd and a geek. ...

Some docs won't give it to women who want more children because of increased risk of PID, which can result in sterility. There's some evidence that the link between IUDs and PID is not as strong as was once thought, so the official warning's still there, but many docs are comfortable giving IUDs to ...

Disclaimer: I am a vegetarian. And these are my personal opinions, not anything I'm pretending is doctrine or applicable to everyone. I've heard the comma argument before, but I find it difficult to swallow that the original intent of such an important document was allowed to be deliberately lost by...
