Re: #66407 -- Temple

I know I'm resurrecting an older thread here, but I've been on quite the hiatus and haven't checked in for weeks. Not sure if I should say this, but the blonde Eve and accompanying Adam are in my home ward. I don't think that too many people can claim they were home teaching companions with Adam, bu...

Re: YSA 1st Stake

I like the communal feeling of regular ward meetings, and Stake Conference messes with that routine. If only Dieter Uchtdorf could just always be the guest speaker . . . ;) I actually really second the idea that 23-, 24- and 25-year-olds, if they like it, should put a ring on it. But I don't know i...

That son of a B, linking to his own #1 answer to further the gap between it and number 2. Heh, what a tool.

Re: Dear John?

(This is about Question 65094 http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/65094/ ) And to be fair, only 2 writers responded, and the responses to the question referred to in this question ( http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/64996/ ) were not serious, so my sample size is skewed. But still. What makes you thi...

Re: Creation of the earth

I don't believe in an original ur-human. I think there were a handful of original founder groups. So "Adam" can only be metaphorical to me. I don't come around here or comment too often, but this caught my attention. Assuming we're operating in the scope of revealed knowledge (that is, we...

Re: Praying in Restaurants

...Why does everyone care about what others will think of a personal prayer? If you want to do it, do it. If I do pray in public, I'll just kinda put my hands together nonchalantly, utter a silent prayer, and go on. Half the time I don't even close my eyes. Prayers are what you make 'em. Now I'll fa...

Re: Dating multiple girls (62580)

I'm pretty sure that if someone came along and read the titles of threads and then the last page of each respective thread, there would be little to no relation between the two. Just saying. Anyhow, on with the discussion about racism...?

Chicken breast with provolone, tons of lettuce, tomatoes, olives, pickles, some ranch, and a fair bit of chipotle sauce. Like a chicken bacon ranch, minus the bacon, but for $5.

Re: #60995 - BYU men and relationships

Well Katya, it's not like I just wrote that answer so I could get my anonymous glory kicks. I only wrote it to highlight how dumb I thought the question really was. But I thought your system of administering justice was humorous. Maybe I'll start thumbs-upping every answer just to mess with the syst...

Re: Weight loss: #59609

I'm still not sure if you've even listened to the podcast. If you haven't I'd recommend you do so before attempting to make any other critiques, as they'd continue to be rather baseless. That being said, if you have listened to the podcast, you should know that we said all of the following: - 1-2 lb...

Re: Weight loss: #59609

I think you are referencing some things from the podcast, which I admittedly didn't really listen to. Seriously? When you reference that it was in the podcast, I assumed you didn't like the responses that were in the podcast. If that's the case, then you should probably listen to it before criticiz...

Re: Weight loss: #59609

Read the question again. "Any jump start ideas? Anyone suffered from the same fate?" THOSE are the questions the questioner asked. Thus, those are the ones we responded to. They did indeed say that they were losing motivation, but not only do I feel that we provided an answer for that (&qu...

No no, see, you've got it all wrong. I went with him in the car to protect him... because so many other people hate him that I have to stop them from killing him, so that I can kill him MYSELF. That, and when he's around, I only eat things he eats (and only if I see him cook it) just to make sure th...

Jeez, Gimpy. What a loser. Half an hour after it launches and you're already making posts.

It's okay, though. Nobody will realize it because heaven knows they won't read either of these.

CK, I am inclined to side with Foreman on this one. I used to hold in my sneezes a la Sneezy from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Then I heard somewhere that holding in sneezes is bad for you and I've let them go ever since (I don't know if it's true, but I've gained pride in my sneezes since then...
