Re: #73844 - the 00's
I know that we're talking about decades, not centuries, but I'm curious what you think of this. I heard once that the 18th century as we think of it began in 1789 and ended in 1917 and that the 20th century began in 1917 and ended in 1991. Would you say the 21st century began in 1991 or 2001? Is it ...

One of my favorite songwriters lived less than 4 miles away from me this past year and I didn't even know it. And now she is moving and touring the world again. what.

17. All the math and pattern questions might have done me in, but I guess reading "How to Win Friends and Influence People" three times has done me some good in life after all.

While I was in France, I saw "L’amour de Dieu, sa force aussi" in the hymnbook and didn't recognize it as one in the English hymnbook. Interestingly enough, it was written by Naomi Randall, so you would guess that we'd have it in English, too. Anyone know why we don't?

I ordered a jacket from Kohls last Monday and it hasn't arrived yet. I have tracked the package for the past few days. Tuesday: at a location 3 hours away. Wednesday: location 3 hours away. Thursday: location 25 minutes away. Friday: location 5 minutes away. Saturday: location 5 minutes away (but al...

Re: Bad date stories - #72586
I had my fair share of awkward dates while at BYU, but I think the most memorable bad date took place the summer after high school with the guy I'd gone on several dates with already. We went down to President Faust's funeral (which sounds really weird out of context, but we were good friends, and h...

Perhaps you could give him your husband's number or ask for his wife's number.

link I had fun announcing my pregnancy. At six weeks, I decided to tell my immediate family. I sent each of them a personalized email (e.g. for my brother who likes Scrabble I sent him a picture of tiles which when unscrambled read "Uncle S_____"). On their own, some of them may have been...

When we were deciding where to go for my husband's grad school, I looked at what the Board had to say about the various locations we were considering. If I had known of Brutus's hatred of all things Michigan, I would have been much less confused by http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/35074/ . At the t...

Eh, sometimes it's convenient to know each other's passwords. For example, my husband would take care of the tithing even when both of us were working. It was easier for me for him to just log in to see my payroll than to stop what I was doing to take care of it. There are logistical reasons to know...

I just finished The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck. Really, really liked it. It was slow and steady but still interesting, and I liked the pacing and the themes and the style. Looking on Goodreads, many of my friends and other reviewers really hated it. That surprised me. Anyone else read it? What did...

Split pea soup with a ham bone. Split pea soup was always something I'd been intrigued by, and it was tastier than I thought it would be.

Craig, I just saw a Facebook album with you and my little sister's boyfriend. It was a weird juxtaposition.
Also, the more I think about it, the more I'm pretty sure I knew like 25% of your mission.
Also, those tacos look really good.

If I am a bad person in this life, I have faith that I will be consigned to a parking lot in the next life. I hate parking with a fiery passion, especially when people are watching.
