Re: What makes you happy today?
Got my first job offer today. With the two other companies I'm in the process of applying to, I'll know in the next three weeks what I'm doing after graduation.

Caveat: People can do whatever they want in their dating life. Pray to Zoroaster, join a kibbutz, take a vow of celibacy, knock yourself out. So I did a decent job of ignoring General Conference. Besides the new appointees, which makes local and even NPR-level headlines, I don't consider it newswor...

What exactly do you dislike? There's a chance I'll end up at a tech startup, so it'd be nice to know some downsides before starting.mic0 wrote:I'm pretty much convinced there are more things I dislike about working at a tech startup than those I like. That was a mild rant...

Re: What makes you happy today?
wait... MIRCROWAVABLE thermos? whaaaaa? that sounds genius It's more like a reusable coffee mug that you can put in the microwave, but it's seriously the best thing in the world. I've had hot chocolate every morning for this past week. This was the first day I actually microwaved stuff, and it was ...

I bought myself a microwaveable thermos so I could have hot chocolate or cider in the middle of the day. It was the best decision I've made.

Had one of my first experiences with a panic attack that I actually identified as a panic attack (which makes me think I've had some in the past that I just didn't really register as a panic attack...) Not fun. Not fun at all.

Volunteering to give a lesson in church today (because it's in between semesters and they didn't know who'd still be around) turned into giving a Sunday School lesson, a talk, playing the piano for sacrament meeting, and sight reading a musical number.

I know I'm behind, but I finally listened to Serial this week (it is in fact possible to get sick of watching Netflix). Why do these kinds of stories always fascinate me? I love stuff like "Forensic Files" and those kind of shows.

Love: Dancing. I loved doing DDR when I was in high school/middle school, and I love doing ballroom dance in college now. Apparently doing a quickstep is like running a fast-paced mile. I can believe it. Biking. I literally just got back from a bike ride up here in Park City, and I forgot how much I...

If you bring your own bike, there are some great trails that you can ride. I second the window shopping as well.
