BQ 87454 Where do babies come from?
So, I'm curious where everyone first thought babies came from. The stork seemed ridiculous to me because I had seen pregnant women before. Because I knew that babies grew in a woman's tummy, I figured that babies were like food and were conceived via french kissing. I thought, when you got married, ...

Re: Missionary health
On a lighter note, we had two return senior missionaries talk today. They had served stateside in a variety of capacities including as health care admins for the elders for a period of time. The husband decided to share some of the more creative things that some elders had done. Luckily none of thes...

Re: 87242 - Masturbation
Yeah, my husband doesn't really understand why I don't want to circumcise our hypothetical future sons. This podcast from This American Life really solidified my feelings on the matter. This podcast discusses sexual intimacy, and female genital mutilation. http://www.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archi...

Guess Who Strategy BQ 87282
I think I've found the ultimate Guess Who strategy and have submitted a correction. In case it doesn't get approved, I thought I'd post it here. Feel free to go through my logic and see if there was anything that I may have missed. I spend an hour and a half on this using a picture from google image...

Got to see a free pre-screening for the movie "Nerve" today. I liked it. The concept was thrilling and scarily plausible, lots of adrenaline fueled action too.

Re: Lame Claim to Fame
President Boyd K Packer's great grandson was born in my parent's family ward and Packer came to the baby blessing. It freaked my mom out because she was giving the opening prayer that day and she was just about terrified.

I'm starting to realize that this question would probably have been more applicable to movies than books, but it's a bit too late for that. Oh well....

2. Cede the spotlight. Queer discussions aren't about allies. It can be hard to be an ally, and that is a worthwhile discussion to have... with allies or other more privileged groups. Not with queer people and not in queer spaces or conversations. Ditto to lengthy discussions of straight experience...

Re: Banned Books?
To go ahead and answer my own question, Age is definitely a huge factor for me and I think all of these topics can be introduced at a young age in appropriate ways. I see nothing wrong with teaching a first grader that there are all sorts of different types of families but I would probably wait unti...

Banned Books?
I was talking to some moms about books and I found that some moms drew the line of what content they would/would not allow their children to read at a very different place than I would. We're talking about kids somewhere between 4th-7th grade. Of course you don't want your kids reading some detailed...

In my (admittedly limited & biased) experience with Tinder, it's definitely a very hetero space. Women who check "yes" to both sexes may identify as straight, "bi-curious," bi, or just be looking for friendship /bored. I don't really think that it would necessarily be a good...

Re: Obamacare
There are a few things I do like about Obamacare the two main ones include that you generally can't be denied coverage for a preexisting condition and they can't put a lifetime coverage amount. Unfortunately, in order to fund treatment and care for these people, the money does have to come from some...

Re: #86717 Scrimper wife with a flippant husband
So, genuine question here, what tools do you all use to budget? I've tried suggesting a budget to my husband, and we'll talk about it for a bit and decide that we'll spend about $60 on groceries for the week, go to the store and spend about that, and then never think about it again. We'll also do th...

Re: Worst beverage you've had
I remember trying Inca Kola and Beverly at EPCOT. Beverly was the only one that I wouldn't try on a regular basis, but I did encourage my parents to try it when they came to visit me. TBS, if you end up in EPCOT and decide to drink around the world, just remember that starting in Mexico is the hard ...

This question on manscaping was entertaining. My husband has a Gaston level of chest, back, arm, and leg hair to the point where I submitted this post . In response to the manscaping, I honestly don't like it when my husband does it. Due to some of the recent surgeries, they've had to shave one sid...

They had chocolate and flowers outside of sacrament after the meeting, and they made it so you could easily choose to pick up a flower/chocolate bar if you wanted, or not, BUT the flowers they had were the ones that come in a black, square, plastic pot, with little holes in the bottom so they can ea...
