The document is dated 2006. But it was typed using Calibri. And, as the investigators noted in their report, that font was not commercially available until the following year.

I think that this is the first time ever that the Kosher Board has been more active than this one.

I am resisting putting my two cents in because it will only cause me to lose sleep.

I'm too lazy to go find the link, but did anyone else notice someone getting away with a signature of "single af"? I wonder if the editors didn't catch it, didn't know what it was, or just didn't figure it was a big deal... Anyway, it amused me.

Hi! It has been super quiet around here. I've just been enjoying the enormous luxuries of being a teacher on summer break, which include enormous amounts of frolicking and sleeping in and bingewatching, along with a significant amount of professional development and curriculum writing.

Political gift in coworker's honor

http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/89890/ Thanks for the answer, Zed. Her husband ended up requesting donations to a foundation related to her cause of death, so bringing it up in conversation seems to be the way to go forward (don't want a competing donation squabble!). The candidate in question is ...

I got several pieces of stressful news at work today, and while driving home my brain decided that suicide would be a lot easier than dealing with it!

I'm not actually, dangerously suicidal, but suicidal ideations are still not fun.

Paying more

http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/89758/ Sometimes it's because you're loyal to the specialty store and would rather your money go to them than a mega-retailer. Example: I buy my running shoes at my local running store. Could I find the same shoes online cheaper? Probably. But the owners and employe...

Re: 13 Reasons Why, et al.

I think it is a good show, but it isn't a show for teenagers. Except that......it was created by teen idol Selena Gomez, all the characters are teens, it's based off a young adult book published by a publisher specifically for teens. So....saying it's "not for teens" doesn't really hold m...

Re: 13 Reasons Why, et al.

Ok, I've finished the show and I have to say that I agree with what yayfulness and Marduk have said above. This show has the potential to be very dangerous to teens and others who may be at risk for putting themselves in Hannah Baker's shoes. I do also think that this show (in the correct context) ...

During the summer my husband works 5pm to 2am, and that really sucks. It's 2 days into his summer schedule and I'm already drinking more beer and eating more chocolate than is healthy out of sheer boredom.

Also, I found this paragraph suuuuuuper condescending: "So if you're some board member struggling with your testimony, can you promise to read the Book of Mormon every day for the next month? Can you promise to pray to God every night even if you may no longer believe that he's there? Can you tr...

13 Reasons Why, et al.

Considering that I haven't actually watched it my ridiculously strong opinions about 13 Reasons Why Might be unjustified. But. I just don't think it's okay to treat suicide as the ultimate "Eff you," or to portray it as vividly as I've heard it is, for "entertainment." Yeah, it's...

Yeah, so I got recruited to a dream program starting this fall but my brain has decided that my ex is still sleeping with me but also meeting some chick in San Francisco is the more salient issue. And saying that makes me feel even worse. Like, I really am that much of a doormat. Brains are stupid ...

Post-graduation blah

http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/89312/ Dear Tousle-Headed Poet, I don't have any great and wonderful words of wisdom for you, but I will tell you that the post-graduation blah is definitely a thing. Adulting is actually really boring, and that reality takes some getting used to. I do hope you find...
