Re: Which rodentish pet is the best?

Soooo we did indeed adopt some rats! Three -- named Clove, Cinnamon, and Vanilla. They are all males and they sometimes do this thing called aggressive grooming to see who is dominant, it is really weird. They are still getting accustomed to us, and Vanilla especially is shy. I tried to take picture...

Re: In the news

I believe in this case (correct me if I'm wrong!) word entropy is more like "letters-in-a-word entropy," or how frequently does this series of letters combine in this ordering to form a word. So while some combination of letters may be common individually, maybe occuring in the same word t...

Re: LDS Handbook changes - SSM, Apostasy, and children

My mom posted this from BCC.

I don't have much to add. This whole thing is confusing and seems like just a terrible move with so little reasoning of any kind.

Re: Which rodentish pet is the best?

Also she only has a few rats at any given time (currently three which she said is a little low) so there isn't a rat- abandonment epidemic.

Re: Which rodentish pet is the best?

Maybe this is the dumbest question, but...where are the rats being rescued from? Do they like set traps in alleys? Or are there so many people who abandon their pet rats that there's a whole rat rescue just for that? Sorry it took me a day to respond! The rat rescue is a person who takes in pet rat...

Re: Which rodentish pet is the best?

Yay, rodent adorableness and a tiny cylindrical armadillo!!! So cute. :) I'm on the road to rodentia. I've got a nice cage from a friend and am waiting to hear from a local rat rescue (in the meantime I'm checking craigslist just in case some sweet pair of small mammals needs a home). Loved all your...

I checked my 1:30 alarm at 1 and my said "alarm at for one and a half hours from now" which was interesting.

Re: Daylight Saving Time Ending Experiment

OK, I just made a recurring alarm for every Sunday at 1:25 a.m. This is going to be so annoying if it works. :)

Re: First question you asked the board

That wet blanket answer was wonderful. :D Did you take the advice from the Board? Interesting first questions everyone! Shrinky Dink, Rexburg sounds like a very... quiet... place. 2 a.m. is pretty late, though! It is interesting BYU-I's honor code says you have to be in your *own* apartment by a cer...

First question you asked the board

84345 This was a fun(ny) question. Just interesting to think about. I thought it would be fun to see what you all asked the board! If you're embarrassed about your first question, maybe say one of your early ones. :) How do I not stress as an incoming freshman? CLASSIC! I was 17 when I asked that. ...

Oooooh hedgehog, how sweet! Is she your first hedgehog? I may look to see if there are breeders around here. Are hedgehogs social?

Which rodentish pet is the best?

And what is the best place to acquire one?

I've been reading Craigslist ads for about 20 minutes. I just know a rodentish pet or pair is on my horizon. (PS I've had rats, mice, and hamsters before. All great in their own ways!)

Re: Happy Days in Random Chatter 10

By the way, if any of you are living in the Houston area, my mom is giving a talk at a fireside tomorrow night about mental health and faith. She has dealt with a lot of mental health issues throughout her life, and struggles with faith and church culture surrounding mental health issues, so it shou...

Re: top albums/songs of 2015

When I'm out walking or just at home, I often want to savor the silence or the noises of nature. CONCRETE EVIDENCE that I'm getting old. Haha! Awwwwww. :) I also feel "disconnected from the music world" which I guess is why I'm curious how people stay up to date with music. It's just so h...

Re: top albums/songs of 2015

I may have misled you by saying I played video games. I played Neopets and The Sims. I probably also listened to music while reading LiveJournal. Also I don't agree with your passions at 17 theory because for me it is almost 100% false and I am not into the same sorts of things at all as I was then....

Re: top albums/songs of 2015

How do you get into music? When do you listen to music? Most of my life is lived without music, except in the car or sometimes at work at which time I want stuff that is not disruptive. I'm just curious. :) As a teenager I was a little into music, but definitely not "cool" stuff, just rand...
