Re: #62690 - Etsy business
Awesome summary. I can commiserate with the home warehouse part. For a few months, I was doing eBay sales for my brother-in-law's business, and our apartment is STILL full of random inventory. It takes up a lot of space, and we only have a one bedroom apartment. We have engine parts in our living ro...

Re: Nine for Random Chatter, doomed to die
Awesome! When I last checked the weather (on Friday? or Saturday?), it said it was supposed rain for almost the entire week. Glad to know it's cleared up. Maybe I'll go out and play too

Re: #62690 - Etsy business
There is a flip side that you don't often hear about. Let's say your product really takes off. Now what? All of a sudden, you can't keep up with the demand and all your time is consumed by it. Are you going to hire someone to help you? Can you afford to hire someone to help you? Are you even enjoyin...

Re: Nine for Random Chatter, doomed to die
Bing bot has made spambots aware of our forum, and that makes me frown. Bing bot is a jerk. In other news...my first day of work is today! And I'm super crazy nervous! Even though my boss is like the most chill dude on the planet, I have this fear of saying something totally dumb in front him, or m...

Re: Classics/Latin/Greek
I think it depends. If you value "being cultured" then you are probably more likely to value the study of the classics, Latin, Greek, etc. It's not necessarily important to our survival, per se, but it's important to our traditions, heritage, and basic understanding of the world around us....

Re: Conference
Funny you should say that...my sister was just telling me about her non-committal guy friend. About a week before conference, he basically told her, "You know, I've never really thought about getting married. Just hasn't occurred to me." I can't imagine how that's possible, since he's an a...

Uh...I never served a mission, but I used to work in a maintenance job that took me up to the MTC on a regular basis. It was always my favorite place to work.

Re: Nine for Random Chatter, doomed to die
Well, here's a little perspective...I graduated one year ago, and I haven't been able to find a real job during that entire time. I've submitted countless resumes, been to many interviews, applied for just about everything you can imagine (forest firefighter anyone?), and basically just spent a lot ...

Re: Conference
Yeah, Elder Holland's talk was very unique and very cool. You don't hear talks about talks very often. Personally, I would say that the Sunday sessions were better, but I slept through most of Saturday afternoon...so I can't say for sure.

Re: Dating multiple girls (62580)
i would't mind being wooed. i think it's what has been seriously lacking in my relationships. take that for what you will. There's nothing wrong with wooing a girl -- within the context of a relationship. It's the early dating stages where it becomes a problem. For example, buying a dozen roses for...

Re: Twitter
I think you need to have a specific purpose for getting one. It's great for news. It's great for businesses and for keeping up with businesses you like. It's great if you're into celebrity gossip and want to keep up with certain celebrities. It's great for networking with important people in your in...

So...when I went in for my job interview on Tuesday, the interviewer guy said I should really start using Twitter to keep up with industry news. I've been trying it out for the past few days, and I've been trying to figure out if there's a way to filter it -- either within Twitter itself or using a ...
