Re: would you date outside your religion?

Well, I'm currently dating (though I'm not exclusive with) an atheist, and it's going relatively well. Our issues so far have stemmed from his damage, not from religion.

Fingers crossed, y'all!

Re: Decorating your boyfriend's room

No boys were allowed in my room at my dad's house (even at 28, this is still a rule pretty much), but my mom loosened up on it when I was about 17. She was already convinced I was having sex(I wasn't until I was 18), so she didn't really care. I usually left my door open when boys were over anyway s...

Standardized testing requirements for SPED students. Texas isn't doing ANY modified exams this year, which means all of the sweet, but VERY developmentally disabled kids across the hall from me, will have to take a sit down paper and pencil exam. Some of them wear diapers, but they're somehow suppo...

Is it okay that we've hijacked this for central Texas shenanigans? Hey, Imogen and Violet, I'm in Round Rock now. I hear there is a place with a giant donut. (Also, there are way more donut places here than in Colorado (also also, is "donut" a misspelling? It is underlined for me.) I don'...

I really wish there was a way for me to casually end up next to my dramaturgy professor on the plane tomorrow. He'll be grading, but just sitting next to him would probably be really pleasant BECAUSE HE'S AWESOME.

So after talking to Portia IRL, I realized that I had Tinder mixed up with something else entirely, which led to some laughs.

Grad school has sapped all my brain juice. I can't wait to go home on the 29th.

Re: Happy Days in Random Chatter 10

I am legitimately into my dramaturgy professor. He is smart, cute, funny, and he has the most beautiful blue eyes. If only I could convince him to date me.... Isn't that like, against several codes of ethics? I'm sure it is, which is why I'm not going to make an attempt. If I'm still into him when ...

So if you have no other option you're just not supposed to go to church?

SO WEIRD TO ME! In Catholicism it is of the utmost importance that you attend Mass weekly (at least), so you do what you have to do to get to church, appearances be damned.

Every time I see Mormon missionaries out I feel like I should report back to you guys. They were talking to a lady on the sidewalk, but the neighborhood isn't super safe so I was glad it was day time. Also, it was hot, and the poor kids were on bikes. IT'S 100 DEGREES!!!! Let the poor things drive a...
