Re: teeth showering
I was first introduced to the concept about 10 years ago when my toothbrush went missing one day, and I asked my roommate about it when she got home, and she said that she couldn't find hers so she had borrowed mine and that she must have left it in the shower. :? :x This is the funniest thing I've...

Re: Belmont and other housing...
I lived in Miller, then Regency (while my brother and cousins lived on Condo Row), then in the house with Uffish in the Miller ward again, then I got married. In my limited experience, I found a lot more kindred spirits in Miller. Keep Miller weird!

My 36-year-old, buff brother has had one for years, and he and his wife share a bed together just fine. Earplugs 4vr.

Re: Name chains
I mix up my son and my husband every once in a while, and most of my siblings (all older than me) call me by their daughters' names and their daughters by mine. They say it's the "prominent little blonde girl in my life" mentality, so I often get called Bradyn, Brenna, Madison, or Brooklyn...

Ha, sorry, wasn't meaning to sound braggish, I was just excited that I actually knew a word. My vocabulary is lacking. But I actually knew dybbuk, too, thanks to A Serious Man, which is my favorite Coen brothers movie.Katya wrote:Oh yeah, you would. Cool.krebscout wrote:Hey, that's a word I knew!

Ha, yeah, sorry. I wrote as krebscout while Sauron was on his mission, retired when he got home, then we got married and wrote together for a while.

Re: If A Guy...
(And for the sake of social signals, I think it's a good idea for married men and women to wear some sort of ring—health and safety permitting—but it doesn't have to be an engagement ring with a ginormous sparkly diamond.) We've written before about our feelings on wedding rings and money...we went...

Re: If A Guy...
Allow me to disagree with Schwartz: No. I think that's weird and awkward. If you think he's interested, it's a date. If you don't think he is, then it's not. If it's ambiguous, it will all sort itself out in due time, and you can have fun anyway. I don't think I've ever been asked, "Would you l...

Re: If A Guy...
I guess I think a date...whether anything is paid for by anyone, or it's dutch, or it's free, or whatever...is a set-apart time that must include a mutually-understood element of checking each other out, romantically, even if it's in the smallest degree. As an example, I don't count my senior prom a...

Re: If A Guy...
No. It's not a date if I take my female friend out for ice cream and pay for her. I just want to treat my friend. I once went to the Malt Shoppe with a friend who was roommates with a guy I liked (and everybody knew it). He was hanging out at our apartment and said, "Hey Krebscout, let's go get...

Re: Depression disclosure
That's me. Well, I have one, but it's very weak. It seems more like there's certain smells I can't detect and some that I can.
