I just found this:
http://www.orientaloutpost.com/forum/banlist.php
Maybe that'll help?

It might...except our forum doesn't accept comma-separated things. If I have time later I'll see if there's an easy way to convert commas into hard returns. Then it will be exceedingly helpful! There's only so many email address domains one can ban, after all.

Hm. I'd be hesitant to go off something like that, if only because it could very easily mess things up for real people too. (If someone's computer was being used as part of a botnet, for instance, or if they ended up with a new dynamic IP address that used to be used by a spammer/part of a botnet.)

I'll get to work on adding the question-and-answer captcha tonight.

The question-and-answer captcha is now in place. Hopefully it does the job!

Hooray! I just counted up the number of emails we admins got over the course of this thing and it was 859! How many of them were real? 6!

Silly spambots.

Just curious, how could you tell which ones were real?

I don't know if you often looked at the names, but anything that was over-long and seemed to be random letters usually wasn't real. If there was a question of legitimacy, I checked the email address. That usually made it very obvious.

Also, I read the Board regularly. Usually when someone comes over here, they'll use a nym I can recognize.
