Lame Claim to Fame

I've been to the simple nondescript in-mall Chick-fil-A where the Chick-fil-A sauce was first served.

My lame claim to fame - The blind kid from Dumb and Dumber ("Pretty bird!") was my mission trainer in Chile. We still keep in touch. Really nice guy.

I am sort of within two degrees of separation of George W. Bush. I say sort of because I've met his personal photographer at least five or six times (we have a mutual friend), but he still has no idea who I am.

My algorithms and data structures professor once mentioned during one of his random aside stories that one time he rode in a hotel elevator next to Lou Ferrigno.

My uncle is a reasonably well known figure within the churches of the denomination I grew up in, in the state I grew up in.

Nope, it was really more mentioned than announced (if you want to be technical) but it was on the day I was born, and it is how the majority of my ward found out my mom had had her baby.

Are you the descendant of a GA (or someone else who was speaking in General Conference)?

President Boyd K Packer's great grandson was born in my parent's family ward and Packer came to the baby blessing. It freaked my mom out because she was giving the opening prayer that day and she was just about terrified.

That's the ticket, a member of the seventy, to be specific.

I'm related, through marriage, to Oaks. His second wife is my grandmother's sister or something like that. Oaks almost performed my parents' sealing but ended up having to go to a meeting. He sent them a wedding gift though.

I was once in a Brazilian documentary pretending to look through a broken telescope in the daytime.

Also I get such bad tinnea versicolor that a dermatologist once took pictures of it when I was a teenager.

Meryl Streep's daughter lived on my floor freshman year of college, and Tom Hanks' daughter was in Vagina Monologues with me.
