Scrabble words

Post by Damasta »

My best word was "Quixotic", in the corner. That gave me a Q on the "triple word score", an X on a "double letter score", and a C on another "triple word score". Combined with the other words I added onto, it ended up being 350+ points (I don't remember the exact number anymore).

What great words has everyone else gotten?

I love scrabble, but no one in my family or my (admittedly small) pool of friends does.

I just glanced at the stats on my facebook scrabble, and it says my best word was dreamily for 102 points. Based on the point total and letters involved I'm pretty sure it had to be a bingo on a triple word.

My sister-in-law is a Harry Potter fanatic, so we decided to play Scrabble where Harry Potter words got double word score automatically, on top of any other multipliers.

I got Azkaban. I think it was over 500 points. Too bad it wasn't real Scrabble.

I've never played real scrabble.

I once had "QUIRE" (an obscure bookbinding term). I think it was on a double or triple word score, but I forget how much it was worth, exactly.
