I played "Secret of the Oracle" (CK4) all the time as a child, and recently picked up Keen Dreams. I haven't gotten very good at that one though.

I hadn't played at all in probably 6 or 7 years until I found the emulator online.

So this one time, I got 2 texts from an unknown number warning me to stop texting this dude's girl.

And for the first time I really really really want to reply! But it's 20 cents a text (at least) and I don't want to get in this texting battle for calling him "Sweetheart."

So does anyone want to pretend to be my boyfriend and warn this dude to stop texting his girl (me)?

anyway. It's been almost an hour since the texts were sent so it might not be worth it at this point. But I'm surprised at how strong the temptation is.

(yes, and I'm talking about it on an anonymous forum instead of calling my real boyfriend ... or any other friends ... this is what I call "having a life")

I totally will. But if I pretend to be your boyfriend, you're going to have to pretend to put out.

Note from bob: Don't listen to him. He's a terrible person and talks like this all the time.

I will. And just because I'm bored. No putting out required, pretend or not.

what's the number? And my name/age?

Ha! I told this story before family night, which went on for hours (really, we finished after 9:30) and then my computer wasn't by my bed where it usually is so I didn't check it, and then after I went to bed I was like, "You know, I've probably got some takers" but I was too lazy to get out of bed!

Now it's probably SUPER too late. Otherwise I so would've given you the number and the previous texts. Even though I'm pretty sure whoever it was was just messing with me. I thought it might be fun to mess with werf back. (I can still transcribe the texts if people are curious but they're not that interesting.)

Oh. Marduk? I already bought you ice cream. That sugar-sweet goodness of flavor is way better than anything you'd ever get from me. Just saying.

Wow is the only word for it, but it's a total fake. Google found zero results for the "Tears on Gethsemane Preschool"

So, somehow my sister decided it was a good idea to wander around the neighborhood completely naked.

And she somehow made it past us in her nakedness (I personally think she went outside and then removed her clothes, because she had to get past us to get outside and we certainly don't remember her naked).

Yeah.

Eh, six is a tough call.

Younger (than six): meh, they just have lenient parents.
Older (Middle school): meh, someone was out on a dare.
Older (High school): meh, alcohol was probably involved.
Older (College): meh, roomates are prankers or: alcohol.
Older (Parent): meh, no spare time for pants or: alcohol.
Older (Ancient): meh, senility.

or: misread the decaf again, dang it.

It's also better than when both of my brothers (aged about six and four) ran off, completely starkers, to play at the park down the street. Or when they were... wait. If I tell that one they'll kill me.

Just 28 hours and I won't have to care about this baby shower anymore. Of course, that means the next 28 hours will be jam-packed with crazy.
