Heh, I enjoy calling myself (or others if I think they'll not mind horribly) an 'Occidental'.

And, whenever possible, refer to yourself as occident-prone...

I doubt many would be offended. But then, I doubt many would even understand what you were trying to say.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that any understanding that takes place in that communication would be purely occidental.

I just got a Facebook message from a girl I knew several years ago. If I respond, I have this sneaking suspicion that it's just going to open up a huge can of worms and she's going to keep writing to me slash bugging me. I don't want to open that can of worms. Is it okay if I don't respond? Am I a bad person for wanting to ignore her?

I do that sometimes. Not respond to people, and then clearly be active on Facebook anyway.

(In case it wasn't clear which question Craig was referring to. Which I just typed as refuring, and I am going crazy because the word I was actually looking for was "answering".)

Egh. I went to the temple this morning and as part of that tend to switch my watch from my right wrist to my left wrist. I forgot it was there, but it is sure a pain to type! *switches back*

Yep!

Though I have a friend who also wears her watch on the right wrist even though she's right-handed. It's even the same watch. From Wal-Mart. Because we're both cheap like that.

I'm right handed, and I wear my watch on my right hand because my dad is left handed and when I was a kid, I wanted to wear my watch on the same hand he did because he was cool.

Also, going back to the previous topic of discussion, I once tried to explain to someone when I was at BYU that I was an international student because I was from Canada. I think I ran into them on my way to the international office and they asked me where I was going. Their response? "That's crazy that they consider Canadians international students; you're just as white as the rest of us!"

Yeah, I really hope it was just a case of them mixing up "international" with "multicultural".

Yellow and I are chatting, even though we're in the same room. I excuse it though because Dragon Baby is having a hard time going to sleep and chatting is quieter than talking.

DL, I read that statement and I thought, "what's odd about chatting while in the same room? It would be hard to chat when in different rooms." And then I realized you were probably talking about online. And now I think I'm probably old for hearing the phrase "chatting" and thinking rocking chairs and front porch before thinking internets.
