Well, here's a little perspective...I graduated one year ago, and I haven't been able to find a real job during that entire time. I've submitted countless resumes, been to many interviews, applied for just about everything you can imagine (forest firefighter anyone?), and basically just spent a lot of hours being very frustrated with life. So yes, this is quite exciting for me :D

AND it's the job I really, really wanted. I couldn't ask for more!

I apparently get giddy when discussing my new-found life goal of going into engineering. now to finish my Family Life degree and find a school that will accept me with my poor grades and bachelors degree.

Today I made a skirt and bolero for my daughter out of a $1 curtain valance on Wal-mart's clearance rack. I'm rather pleased with myself :).

Congratulations! Do you mean going to grad school for engineering, or doing another bachelor's, this time in engineering? (Also, what type of engineering?)

well, I'm leaning towards a second bachelors. And structural engineering or architecture.

Bing bot has made spambots aware of our forum, and that makes me frown.

I'm back from my vacation, by the way. Haha, no one knew I was gone!

Bing bot is a jerk.

In other news...my first day of work is today! And I'm super crazy nervous! Even though my boss is like the most chill dude on the planet, I have this fear of saying something totally dumb in front him, or maybe one of the partners.

I hope your work has gone well!!

Edit: I know, two Random posts in a day. But I just had to vent for a moment. I didn't mind so much when my former boyfriend stopped by for the first time in like 2 months. I minded more that I happened to be wearing the exact same outfit as I was on our first date. (I'm hoping that, as a boy, he didn't notice. But he's just the type that would notice.)

Ta-da.

Sometimes, usually around time-to-plan-dinner time, I wonder why we have to eat food so often. Dinner comes around far to often lately. It's kind of annoying. What the heck am I supposed to make for dinner tonight. The only meat I have is tuna and bacon. The only pasta is lasagna and spaghetti (and maybe other similar long noodles). I have rice. I have some veggies. I have cheese. I have a fair selection of pantry items and spices. Marduk, your dinner is seeming more and more appealing. One less night of meal planning. Hrumph.

Oh. And I'm sick of stir fry. I'd seriously make the worst vegetarian ever.

3rd random post today, yay me.

So, when I'm bored (which ... sigh ... happens sometimes) I either read archives (I'm almost through 2006!) or I go through the old Random Chatter threads (I know, I know). I happened upon this page. Not only can I not remember what relationship trouble I was having back then, but I remembered that Darth Fedora was going to apply to be a writer! I was so in favor of that!

Anyone know what happened with that? I haven't seen her around lately.

I just woke up from my third or fourth nap this morning. Yes it's 9:30 am. Yes I'm miserable and ready to go back to bed, why do you ask? :)

So, I don't think this warrants its own thread, so I'll just say it here. There was a question a few weeks ago asking how to advertise for this person's blog about BYU bathrooms. I suggested they put up ads in the bathrooms.

Yesterday I was walking behind two girls and one was telling this CRAZY story of how she saw an ad for a blog in a bathroom! She totally visited the blog later that day! Okay, she thought it was a ridiculous blog, but still! I can't believe that worked. :)

Oh, remember that question asking about wouldn't it be nice if the answer to another question were answered? I know the story behind it.
