Yup, that's what we're talking about.
And if I decide I don't want mine, do you want them, Marduk?

Re: What's for dinner?
Sure! Or I could show you how to make something with them, if you like.

Re: What's for dinner?
Well, I'll be honest, neither of those sounded good to me. (I'll also admit that I have no idea what either of those were. But I don't like spicy foods much, so most Mexican dishes, esp. cooked with peppers that are not sweet, don't sound appetizing to me.) So if you think I'll like them and they're not spicy, I guess I'll be brave and invite you over to help me make dinner. Otherwise, they're all yours. I might save a couple for enchiladas, though. We like enchiladas.

Marduk, I would love to have a chile relleno recipe!
Re: What's for dinner?
My mom made some yummy breakfast casseroles with green peppers. They weren't very spicy either. She did use canned peppers, and I don't know what kind they were, but you might try that.

I'm moving on Tuesday, so tonight I am sitting on the floor eating a candy necklace with a flashing pumpkin on it that I found in the back of a cupboard.

DL, Anaheim peppers are not really spicy at all. They are closer on the Scoville scale to bell peppers than jalapenos. Deseed them, and they really have no bite whatsoever. Both of those dishes are very savory, and particularly the chiles rellenos, because of the cheese, you might even doubt there is a pepper in them at all.
And Nerdgirl, since all my recipes are in my head and based on adding ingredients by feel rather than measuring, it takes me a bit to work something out to put on paper. So give me a few days and I'll throw one up here.

I also have no idea what either of those things are, but I'm always up for trying new things.
Re: What's for dinner?
Last night we splurged on some really good bread and really good juice, so we went to a park and had a picnic of sandwiches, homemade pico and chips, and really good juice.
Then we went home and had microwave s'mores, since there is no place around here where we can start a fire.

Last night Yellow's sister made us a Spain dinner. It was really good. It was some sort of rice with raisins and chickpeas and a red sauce of some sort. And a small piece of chicken with a red marinade and some herbs.

Umm… you'll have to ask Marduk what I had tonight. Cuz I'm pretty sure I couldn't pronounce, let alone spell any of it. In my head it boiled down to Mexican Rice, Bean and Bacon Soup, and Fried Anaheim Peppers. But I also know they had fancy mexican names. (Thanks again Marduk and bob!)

Re: What's for dinner?
Last night we had fried potatoes with a side of steamed broccoli and carrots. I was feeling rather lazy.
Re: What's for dinner?
Last night we had tin foil dinners.
Re: What's for dinner?
oh oh oh. I make yakisoba last night. It's basically a Japanese dish with stir-fry meat and veggies plus noodles and sauce (tonkatsu sauce is great, if you don't have it Worcestershire also works). Only I learned that if you fry up cooked spaghetti noodles, they taste almost exactly like those asian noodles. Woooooo!
