What does Reid mean by "clown question" remark?
What does Reid mean by "clown question" remark?
The reporter in this video seems to be asking a legitimate question that does not, to me, seem to be a blatantly loaded "gotcha" question. Why does Reid dodge it? Is the message between the lines "of course I support this," "of course I don't," or something else?

Re: What does Reid mean by "clown question" remark?
Watch it again, there's an obvious edit immediately before the response. Without raw footage, we have no idea what question was being called a "clown question". It may well have been that particular one (edit removing pause or unrelated outburst or some sort), or it could have been a completely different question. Without raw, it is left as an exercise of the viewer's assumptions as to CNN's reasons for editing.
