HI!

Post by Briar Rose »

I just wanted to say hi to everyone again! I got a bit busy with school and whatnot and lost track of the board board. I've missed you all :) How's everyone's term going?
I will slay the dragon myself, thank you very much.

Mmm, not too shabby. I'm just working full-time and hanging out, enjoying the sunshine...and the rain, as the case may be! I made a yummy pie yesterday and casserole today. I love being able to jump back into old hobbies when I'm not stressed about classes.

I have just bought the third Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack and so I am thoroughly enjoying my first listen. And school is almost over for me. 8)

I'm so glad you're not going to die in a bad way. I imagine that would not be very fun.

May I just say that Pirates of the Caribbean 3 is a blast. I watched it the night before last and simply loved it. :)

Hi Krishna!

Well, my roomie says that he can't recomend it because of some "extreeme gore." Though he admits that if they had toned it down a bit, he would have highly recomended it.

I saw the film and don't recall any "extreme" gore (of course I could be terribly desensitized by now). I thought the second one was much gorier than this one. I enjoyed the film, it's definitely worth the price of admission if you're willing to pay for entertainment (which I am).

I really did enjoy it. I can see how there could be extreme gore, but it didn't seem like that to me. The film went to crazyland a little bit but I liked it better than the second!

To quote ask a ninja:
Take the confusion of the second movie and multiply it by a bucket of chicken. That does not make sense. Neither does this movie.

I was disappointed. Halfway through the movie my dad leaned over and started telling me stories from his childhood because he was so bored. I enjoyed watching it, and the action was good, but I'm just so ticked off at the writers for thinking that they can leave so many plot-lines hanging from the second one and get away with it. Of course, we'd all come back, so why not leave every single story that was started without an ending? Because it's not moral, that's why.

Thank you Ask a Ninja.

So entirely random, but has anyone else seen the latest homestarrunner cartoon? Is it just me, or is the mixer at the end entirely too much fun?

I hope you all stayed until the end of the credits.....

As for the gore, I tend to agree it was a bit much, but they tended to use that for comic effect in this installment. Not my favorite choice, but I suppose it works. Better than the second, not as good as the first.

For what purpose did you cast this spell?
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.
