I HATE CFLs!

There, I said it. Is anyone else bothered by this?

Eww, eww, eww! I thought those were just a transient trend!

I think the ban on incandescent bulbs is very poorly conceived. Sure they use less energy, but if everyone starts using nothing but CFLs, they're going to start throwing them away (how many people will actually dispose of them properly?), and we'll end up with landfills full of mercury. And they emit ultraviolet light, which can pose a health risk to people who use them at short distances for extended periods of time. And they're awful for people with migraines and lupus and various other medical conditions.
