Farsi Answer from Foreman

Post by Imogen »

Hey Foreman,

Thank you for that answer. I was trying to remember how to count to ten and FOR THE LIFE OF ME, I couldn't. I'm trying to learn Farsi in an effort to speak to my family in Iran, but I forgot a lot of the little things my stepmom taught me. I tried Livemocha, but I HATE the way their Farsi lessons are set up. Hopefully I can find a real life teacher, or can afford Rosetta Stone one day.

You're very welcome. I worried that with such a specialized question, the answer wouldn't be much good to anyone but the asker, so it's good to hear that it was helpful. Now you can talk to your family about...numbers and colors!

I'm just glad the question came in now; before this semester, I would have used Arabic pronunciations, which would have thrown things off significantly. Of course, I'm still working on switching to Farsi mode, so hopefully I don't throw this ESL kid way off...
