Nine for Random Chatter, doomed to die
Nine for Random Chatter, doomed to die
If anyone has a better suggestion for the title of this, the ninth random thread, I'm willing to change it. This was literally the first thing that came to mind.

I feel plagiaristic.Dragon Lady wrote:I believe we may have named him that before your son was born, but I'm not sure. It was shortly after we got married. Maybe…. Oct or Nov 2008?
He was named after a Jingle Spells song, "Voldy Baby, the Floo Network is open tonight…"

Don't you love it when you're unintentionally plagaristic/ized?

I need to send a thank you card to 3d's mom. I haven't sent a thank you card to anyone in years.

Not new on the bucketlist per se, but strongly reinforced: See Les Mis live.

Guys, I just ordered FIVE books for my sister to bring me when she visits at the end of this month. Five books of my very own choosing out of all of the books on Amazon. I have been deprived of book stores for far too long.

Re: Nine for Random Chatter, doomed to die
I just discovered that there are very few cards that adequately express thanks for letting me stay at your house for thanksgiving even though your son is dating someone else.
Re: Nine for Random Chatter, doomed to die
If I were in that situation (I don't think I've ever been there), I would probably go for a blank one. Maybe one that says Thanks on the front in a nice autumnal theme.
You could always make them uncomfortable and get a "Thank You, My Mother" card. I daresay that would be adequate.

Well, did you used to date their son? Is there expectation that you should be dating their son? Or is the awkwardness all in your head and they were just happy to host the friend of their son?

most likely the latter. They were just happy that he found a ride home without them driving to Provo to get him. Then my car wouldn't start, so I ended up staying.

It seems to be a trend. Yesterday it was slightly profound, but its profundity has certainly diminished with time.Dead Cat wrote:Today's titlebar quote makes me sad.No quote found.

One Cafe Rio salad fed me for four meals.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

I love Disneyland, but the crowds can make a perfectly sane person chlostrophobic. Ahhrgggghh. I am so happy to be back in my hotel room right now.
Re: Nine for Random Chatter, doomed to die
Envious! What did you do besides feel claustrophobic? You probably should have rethought going around Christmas, but at least you didn't go Dec. 26--longest lines of my life.

I went in October (of 07 I think) and the lines were very manageable. then again, I think the people watching is every bit as entertaining as the rides, so my memories may be skewed.

I hate Disneyland. But I'm sure everyone could've guessed that.
