Encore-Mother/Father
Encore-Mother/Father
Ok, a bit of a twist this time. The word(s) for this round are mother (or any iteration thereof; mama, mom, mommy, etc.) AND father (or any iteration thereof.) You MUST either post a single song containing the 8+ word phrase having both mother and father in that phrase, two 8+ word phrases from the same song, one containing mother, one containing father, or two 8+ word phrases from two seperate songs, one containing mother, and one containing father.
I have a couple of options, but I'll pass on my right to going first to see what you guys can come up with.

"Father tells us all a story, Mother leads us in a song and it seems that nothing in the world could possibly go wrong!"
First line: "When the family gets together" from the Children's Songbook. I don't know which iteration of "Family Night" the title is.
Sheesh, what if I get out on the very first round because I don't know the lyrics for sure?

"Then our father tells a story" is how this song ("The Family") goes. I'm so sorryC is for wrote:"Father tells us all a story, Mother leads us in a song and it seems that nothing in the world could possibly go wrong!"

Re: Encore-Mother/Father
Ok, knowing full well that I'm no good at games like this, a song popped into my head anyway, so here goes nothing.
"I love mother, she loves me. We love father, yes-sirree."
Do I have to have a title and an artist?

No. It's nice to add if you happen to know it, that's all.Dragon Lady wrote:Do I have to have a title and an artist?
Re: Encore-Mother/Father
And, continuing the primary song theme:
"Mother I love you, Mother I do. Father in Heaven has sent me to you."
"Mother I love you, Mother I do. Father in Heaven has sent me to you."
Re: Encore-Mother/Father
This is what I figured would happen. What I'm REALLY interested to see is what happens when the primary songs are used up.

Re: Encore-Mother/Father
The first two I thought of actually weren't Primary songs, but I was even less sure on the lyrics. So ... so there.

Unles someone objects, I'm going to see if I can pull out two entries per day. And to prevent me from stealing, I'll do a song that will seriously surprise me if someone else knows it.
"And God bless my Mom and Daddy and all of the world."

Re: Encore-Mother/Father
If I understand the game correctly then this should work,
"Girl you are close to me you're like my mother, close to me you're like my father..."
'All my Life' -KC and JoJo
This is one of my favorite songs! Except I always thought that part was a little odd...

Are we doing two days for the first round, as has become usual?

"With father and mother leading the way, teaching me how to trust and obey."
Yet another Primary song. "Love is Spoken Here"
Hang on Duckie. We'll break away from Primary in a minute.

The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

Re: Encore-Mother/Father
I would be terrible at this game. The only time I listen to music is during church services. Some of my children think I don't like music, and I guess the evidence points in that direction. Also, I don't have a good memory for songs. However, the first two songs that came to mind are not Primary songs. But I probably remember the words wrong anyway. Have fun!
