Perhaps announcing a date was premature.
Let's get some feedback on when you guys would like a party. If there's enough justification, we will switch the party to the 16th.

Can we add an option for, "I am equally likely to attend either day, but am not positive that either work." ?

I think that's when you simply don't answer the poll, because you aren't tipping things either way.
(But you can leave a comment, like you just did, if you wanted to indicate that you might come anyway.)

Yes, but chilly and I are real life friends. And I'm her support system for Board functions.
Oh, hey, what time will this shin dig be at? Because Dragon Baby's bedtime is at 8 pm. So I'd need to be home by then.

It will be at 7 either way DL; so come, eat, and run. Its ok. And it looks like most people said that they'd rather have it the ninth, so that's the plan, unless things drastically change within the next week.
