When I was 18, I specifically dated a fellow 18-year-old rather than a 21+ to avoid the expectations and commitment that would come with the latter. I don't see a very strong correlation with attractiveness and being married by graduation: by far a better predictor is how much the lady wants to be married.

I do think that those with very strict sexual standards at BYU tend to get married earlier than those who are more flexible, controlling for attractiveness/ambition/sociability.

I half-assedly ignored my "missionary" for months and months until Yellow told me I had to tell him something. I was certainly not engaged, (not until four months after he came home, anyway, which was a lot sooner than I thought it was, actually). I think that those of us who are social and outgoing and like playing the field a bit are not all that likely to marry our second boyfriends.
