Game Show Host Successors

Post by Digit »

I wonder who will become the next host of Jeopardy! when Alex Trebek dies or retires.. I wonder who will take Pat Sajak's place on Wheel of Fortune (I remember having seen a daytime version of Wheel with another guy, maybe him). Bob Barker passed the torch of The Price is Right to Drew Carey, who isn't too old and could probably be seen to be there for maybe too long to foresee a successor at the present moment. What do you people think? Any other significant (in terms of viewership/legacy) game shows I'm not remembering?

I hope Jeopardy! dies with Alex Trebek. It has no business being on the air without him.

HA. I could see one of the more cerebral celebrities being a good host... maybe Ben Affleck?

Alex Trebek's first game show gig, The Wizard of Odds from 1973-1974 (theme song written and performed by Alan Thicke). Hey, hey, hey, hey!
