Greek yogurt

Why do you guys think Greek yogurt containers are shaped differently than regular yogurt containers? All the ones I've seen are short and wide, which I'll admit makes more sense than the ones that narrow at the top, but they're both yogurt, both 6 oz, so what's the deal? I assume it's to set them apart visually in the dairy aisle, but I still find it interesting that Greek yogurt coming onto the market necessitated a new container shape.
