Now taking votes for a new baby nym
I'm pregnant! Due June 6 (which is Dragon Baby's birthday, which is funny because she was due on our anniversary).
So, what are your top picks for a nym for both boys and girls? Dragon Baby and Niffler Baby are already taken (both girls). I'm kind of leaning towards Yellow 2.0 if it's a boy. But I haven't really thought about it much yet.

Congratulations.
I'd like to suggest "tanniyn." It's Hebrew for dragon.
Or maybe "drakōn." Greek for dragon.
Actually, the word "dragon" in the Bible has a rather negative meaning.
There is "tsahob" which is Hebrew for yellow, as in gleaming golden yellow. I'm not too fond of the connection to plague and leprosy, but who is going to know?

If it's a boy, like Dragon Baby thinks it's going to be (I STALK YOU ON YOUR BLOG. SO WHAT?), then I vote Yellow Baby to keep consistent.

Not if I only write it in Hebrew letters, so no one even knows how to read it. Bwahaha.Imogen wrote:vorpal blade wrote:Congratulations.

Wow. Someone other than Yellow's sister even reads my blog all the way through? I'm impressed. Because I do write a lot.Giovanni Schwartz wrote:If it's a boy, like Dragon Baby thinks it's going to be (I STALK YOU ON YOUR BLOG. SO WHAT?), then I vote Yellow Baby to keep consistent.

I mostly skip to the "Dragon Babyisms" at the end. Because they're HILARIOUS. I usually just skim the rest.

That really is the best part. She cracks me up. This week had a bunch of great ones. But maybe that's because it was really two weeks in one?Giovanni Schwartz wrote:I mostly skip to the "Dragon Babyisms" at the end. Because they're HILARIOUS. I usually just skim the rest.

Re: Now taking votes for a new baby nym
Is my life anonymous anymore? Probably not. Nor Yellow's (sorry about that dear. It's probably my fault). So I'll just post it instead of PMing it to you. bjnt.blogspot.com. I try to post every Sunday, as it emails to Yellow's sister who is on her mission, and she gets online Sunday night. So all my blogs for the last 6 months or so are written in a letter fashion. Also, consider yourself warned: I write a lot. I justify it by saying that she really wants all the details, because she's afraid of missing out on her nieces' growing up. But really I just like details.

Aaaaand... I think we have a new leader in the "Whose name do you know?" poll.
