Only tangentially related to the question, but it reminded me of the time I was doing a planetarium show at BYU and a kid asked me how close we could get to the sun before it would burn us. I was like, "Well, we are 93 million miles away from the sun and it can burn us right here on the earth." Totally blew his mind.

That's really cute. And so true. It can't burn us to death immediately, but it can burn us enough to cause serious damage.
