I got a job offer. It's not in the field of my degree, and (I assume) it was a competitive job. I'm overjoyed.

(I did not want to work in my degree field. At all. So this fact is more than overjoying me. Even though it's finals week.)

I got to the second round of interviews for TWO jobs, semi-miraculously, and have found a suitable volunteer position and event committee to be a part of. :D Oh and good friends who I don't have to act fake with.

I got a gift from my reddit secret santa and it was something I put in my Amazon cart yesterday but didn't buy yet! Such a crazy coincidence.

Talking to my mom has become one of my favorite things to do.

We're closing on our house today. Squeeeeeeeee.

I fried an egg perfectly this morning (runny yolk, not runny white) and it was delicious on toast.

I can finally listen to music without headphones! I accidentally purchased a monitor without speakers when I built my computer during the summer, and ended up waiting until Black Friday before I could get a good price on a decent pair.

I think she bought a computer and it didn't have speakers, so she had to plug in headphones to listen to anything. Now that she has purchased speakers she doesn't have to use headphones.

It is a desktop computer, but sometimes (like in my case) the speakers are actually integrated into the monitor. (I've never seen a desktop with speakers integrated into the tower.) She wanted a monitor with speakers, and thought the one she was buying had them integrated, but it did not.

My baby's started sleeping through the night and it's peppermint ice cream season.

We can get into the house on Monday, but we don't move until Saturday. During the week I'm going to send as many small boxes as I can with my husband so he can drop them off on his way to or from work.

And best news ever, I was worried about closing costs, and we were pretty much planning on blowing up our savings if need be, but not only did we end up not needing to bring any money to closing, they returned our earnest money deposit, so we walked away from closing with a house and a check for $500.

Really good date last night, fortunately (or unfortunately) accompanied by a really good dream starring him (except with the name of Keith, which definitely isn't his name)

Reading everyone's news here is bringing a smile to my face. I found a gym (uber-90s decor, but great facilities) to join, the weather is very mild, and I discovered this Belgian chocolate milk that is just, woah.
