In my creative writing class, I talked about how all Mormon teen girls make a bullet point list of what they want in a future husband.
Most my class is older women (I'd say 60s-ish), and they said that was absurd and had never heard of it.
Did you do this practice? Could you ask your moms (who would mostly be in their 40s and 50s I'd guess) if they did? After we get some survey data I might ask the Board if it's inconclusive when this practice started and why.
the husband list - when did it start in YW?
Re: the husband list - when did it start in YW?
Born in '79, and I definitely did this in YW/seminary. I'll try to remember to ask my mom when I see her this weekend.

Did you get to ask, by the way? Polishing the essay now. (No problem if you didn't, but thought I'd ask.)Katya wrote:Born in '79, and I definitely did this in YW/seminary. I'll try to remember to ask my mom when I see her this weekend.
