Pop when I was a kid, but as I've gotten older it has slowly morphed to soda. I was at a national conference as a kid in high school. The delegation from Oregon stopped by our room with an open door and asked where the pop machine was. I told them. They went on their way. My roommates, all from the east coast looked at me with puzzled expressions. They had no idea what "pop" was. But they knew where the soda machine and/or the coke machine was. Oh, and said vending machine sold pepsi products. Coke was a generic term.
