Re: Avoiding an ex
Luckily all our plans were being made over a group text so I found out this afternoon he couldn't make it. I got to enjoy the party without the anxiety of seeing him. I did, however, skip out a little early because he said he might show up late. I don't regret avoiding him. My life is better without...

Avoiding an ex
For context I asked these questions over the summer concerning the guy I dated: http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/86829/ , http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/87233/ , and http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/87407/ . Read them if you like, but they're not essential to my question. Basically I'm still re...

Board T-shirts
http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/88134/ I have a board t-shirt! I bought it a couple years ago at the peak of my board fandom but it's still fun to wear sometimes. My only complaint is that the lettering is kind of high on the women's shirt so it sits awkwardly on top of my boobs instead of right ...

If you like shopping you should check out the outlets. I always get a few things whenever I'm there.

Re: Answers I liked
My brother got married in 2012 and they were still working on thank you notes last year. Perhaps my family is just really good at procrastinating but I wouldn't assume I wasn't getting a thank you note until at least a year after the wedding. How quickly do most people expect to get thank yous?

Re: Names changed to protect the innocent
Word to the wise: don't check tinder in front of a guy who might like you because he just might get one just to see if you're interested. Guys, my dating life is so complicated right now and my roommate/best friend just got married so I don't have anyone to discuss this with.

Re: Dads and piles of Nat Geos
Piles doesn't even begin to cover what my dad has. He has approximately 500 in fancy covers taking up an entire shelf in my parent's basement. The idea of cutting a picture out of one makes me cringe just thinking about how my dad would react.

Names changed to protect the innocent
I thought it was funny that the editors changed the names on http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/83220/ because I had already changed them before submitting. So I guess now it's doubly anonymous. In other news, I'm probably going to have a boyfriend soon! It's strange and exciting all at the same time.

Re: Is This Normal?
My sister-in-law studied therapy and she really liked Rita Edmonds with Aspen Therapy in Provo. She's usually booked a few months out so you might want to find someone else if it's more urgent. My sis-in-law lives in Highland now so if you want a recommendation for someone more North County I'm sure...

Re: Flattering Tinder Guy
Nope. He hasn't contacted me since Wednesday night so I guess that makes my decision easy. This is the second time this has happened so I'm curious what changes between texting to in person conversation that makes guys lose interest. I seem to remember a writer who said they would go out with a read...

Re: Flattering Tinder Guy
Not bad, he was very touchy (which I don't mind) and fun to talk to. He's definitely not my usual type but things haven't worked out with my usual type yet, so maybe branching out is a good thing.

Re: Flattering Tinder Guy
Thanks for the reassurance. I usually shy away from guys who talk too smooth because it seems like they have too much practice. I'm meeting him tonight so, fingers crossed!

Flattering Tinder Guy
So I'll admit, I have a tinder and I just started talking with a guy today. He seems fun but something also seems a little off. His first message was "Hey there, You are really cute! Would you happen to have a winning combination of looks and soul? Cause I think you are probably pretty awesome....

Re: #82508 -- friendly guy who doesn't get the girl
The asker said that his friend doesn't open up because his family treated emotions as being girly, but I'm surprised he didn't think that could be a reason he has trouble dating. It's a sad fact of our society but men who open up to women are usually seen as being kind of gay. I could see girls feel...

Re: Hypothetically Coming Out
I've always wanted to ask my very conservative parents how they would react if I were to come out as gay or trans but I worry that they would think it wasn't actually hypothetical. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't react well so I'll just leave my curiosity unsatisfied. I can't imagine how hard it is fo...
