Re: "hair did" and "bad grammar"
Sorry for thread hijacking/hopping on a tangent, but Mico, I SO AGREE WITH YOUR PROBLEMS WITH "Word Crimes." I mean, I generally dislike Weird Al's humor, but I was definitely like  when "Don't be a moron...You dumb mouth-breather" escalated to "That really makes me w...

The characters look like Old Gaelic. Modern uses the standard Roman alphabet. Less of a headache, but kind of a shame.

Oh, really? I love Sister Nym too. She's a regular Board reader and often texts me when answers are awesome (or awful. that too). I'm wondering how you might be related? You should email me if you don't feel like posting a Boardie genealogy here.

Hmmmm... no, I can't remember any details except for I think it was someone in the house who had shot her, like her husband or her dad or something, and that's why she didn't want the other woman (her mother, or mother in law) to know. I'll keep you posted if anything else comes to me.

I'm sorry I missed this out camping, but I also remember seeing this commercial, so I don't think it was a scary dream. I think it was between 1998-2002.

Eirene will be sorely missed by me as well. She is a tremendous voice of reason and kindness. Plus, all our medical questions will be just answered by telling people to see a doctor. Like in http://wondermark.com/941/.

She really is a great story teller! Glad you liked mine too. I just remembered the very saddest story of babysitting for that family: after a 5 hour marathon of babysitting, the dad handed me a crisp $20. The next day, I went jeans shopping (the worst) and the money fell out of my pocket in the dres...

I really really loved Genuine Article's story. Not only did it include a lot of gasp-worthy moments, but it came full-circle in this truly lovely way. Mad props.

I don't think that was a rant, I think that was very well-said.

Re: Orange Marmalade
Generally speaking, PTC-tasters hate things like orange marmalade, grapefruit, and black coffee.
We should have a PTC-tasting party. Slightly less sketchy than it sounds, I promise.

Re: Board Question #69005 - little children and the veil
Oh hey! I should check in here more often. Here's a citation for you (there are plenty more statements of this, but here is a pretty straightforward one): "Because a veil of forgetfulness was placed over our minds at birth, we have had to find a way to relearn in this life what we once knew and...

I thought it was a great beginning to the podcast... it has potential! Also for once I didn't curl up and die when I heard how my voice sounds recorded.
My own sister got bored halfway through the episode and quit.

Ahh... thanks for explaining, guys! I don't think I was responding just to Uffish's comment, but I'm really glad she explained what she said. I wasn't trying to berate anyone; I love the awesome, open discussion we can have on these questions... just some of the stuff people said definitely set me o...

Well maybe I'm overreacting, and heaven knows I disagree with Kirke a lot, but I find discussing his future sex life to be a little crass... at best.

My dad's hair is dark brown, my husband's hair is black, but both of them have dark red hairs when they have facial hair. My dad is a redbeard too! When he grew his crazy beard last summer, it was red and grey. (No, not a midlife crisis. Just an inability to shave because he had poison oak on his f...
