Wierd foods
Being half Mexican (as I'm pretty sure I already mentioned) I enjoy a lot of stuff that people consider wierd. Tongue is probably my favorite; it has to be boiled all day, and then diced and grilled. Serve it in tacos with cilantro and onion, and some green salsa. OH it is so good! I also like cabez...

As has been stated, the Communist Manifesto is intended to be a polemic piece, not a comprehensive ideology. Yes, history can't be looked at only in terms of economic conflict, but we certainly can't ignore it. We're talking about serfs vs. kings, labor unions vs factory owners, or on the other side...

Ok, let's get a few things straight. 1) The economic system that will be present during the millennium does not exist on the earth today, in any shape or form. We as humans are too flawed to live it. Even when the saints were living higher economic principles, this was still not a perfect system. Go...

Ok, a few links to help clear some things up. http://www.marxists.org/reference/subject/philosophy/help/marxism.htm This needs some perusing, but one of the key elements it brings forth is that There is no set of principles and beliefs which can be set out once and for all and stamped with the name ...

How much is too much?
So, this question was spawned by our other discussion, and I thought it better to ask here. In our current economic system, unlike almost any in the world, one has the potential to become astronomically wealthy. Assuming, through some stroke of luck (or genius, or whatever) you suddenly made billion...

Hrmm, was gonna have a reply in a different direction, but of course, Tao has to bring the weighted voice of reason into the discussion. On that point, I think that millennial economics (if we can call it that) will embrace ideals of what we now see as capitalism, while eschewing others. Similarly, ...

For some reason, the forum would not let me post the reply I had originally, so I've cut in half. Here's part two. A key principle of capitalism is that an individual who is smarter, stronger, or works harder than his fellow man deserves more than they do. The CEO, for example, is providing far more...

The only reason I included in my comment the idea of an individual holding part back from the larger whole being removed from said group is because it was nowhere to be found in your comment. Also, you haven't given me a quote by a general authority, only by a man who is quoting general authorities....

Yes, Vorpal, and it is important to note that it is just that, your point of view. I'd never heard of a reading of the law of consecration as essentially capitalistic in nature. I think you're way off, but then again, that's just my point of view. It is important to note, however, that under the few...

So, figured I'd throw my results in here, since they seem to be vastly different from the rest of you.... Took the link Myers-Briggs test, which gave me INFP, all three were strong besides the F, which makes sense, since it has given me INTP before. As for the political compass.... It gave me -6.88 ...

Intellectual rationality
So, This is an open-ended question for anyone who would like to comment. It seems that our approach to knowledge, as individuals, is predominantly about finding data and information, ideologies, what have you, that fit into our preconcieved notions, rather than collecting information and using that ...
