Re: Juvenile Literature

I was about to come back and recommend the Percy Jackson books and the Red Pyramid book...but apparently I should not.

Re: Niffler?

I certainly wasn't upset to see another Niffler answer, I was just specifically looking for another opinion. But if your was the right one it will be more than sufficient.

Re: Niffler?

Because I've long disagreed with your asserted timeline of events and wondered what the consensus was.

Incidentally, I was a little disappointed when you answered.

But, now, it seems you may perhaps have possibly been a bit right all along. Interesting.

Re: Niffler?

Interesting.

Apparently they would have been better off just hiding, seeing as how they lasted almost a year that way.

Re: Donald Duck comic books

I had heard most of those, but not the Manga influence, which culturally speaking may be the most significant. But the molecule one is mind-blowing. In comic book circles Carl Bark's run on Scrooge McDuck is considered one of the high points of the medium, routinely compared with works such as Watch...

Re: Niffler?

Just out of curiosity, why do you feel this part occurs? - Dumbledore warns the Potters. - The Potters go into hiding. - This lasts several months, but less than a year. But probably close to a year. - The Potters decide to go into deeper hiding and get a secret keeper. - Dumbledore agrees that this...

Re: Hate the Board #61900

Or, perhaps, she's being sarcastic. :) She's good at that. There's no place for a voice of reason on an internet message board. Sometimes I play game when I read a news article on a national site. How many comments before something needlessly antagonist and/or offensive is said? It's almost always ...

Re: Hate the Board #61900

I've had to defend Mythbusters from the scientifically-minded before. The point of the show is in no way to provide hard scientific evidence. They generally look at if an insane sequence of events could possibly ever lead to a specific result. They manipulate all the factors because they're trying t...

61885 - Changes to movies

http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/61885/ What movies/tv shows do you know that have been changed because of real life events? I know of a few changes, and lots of scheduling delays. I know the original Spider-Man films trailer had scenes of a helicopter caught in a giant spider web between the Twin ...

Re: So...

are you excited that the Marvel vs. Capcom game is coming out for ps3? Not particularly, as I don't own a PS3. First of all, I loved Green Hornet, and think it's one of the best superhero movies. Okay, in order of excitement, from most to least, on a scale of 10: Cowboys and Aliens - 8 X-Men: First...

Re: So...

He's the voice of the Green Lantern in a new animated movie being released on DVD a couple weeks before the movie. Which means Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place had two Green Lanterns on it (apparently...I've never seen an episode...).

Re: So...

I'm most excited for Thor. I can't wait to see what Kenneth Brannagh is going to do with a massive budget, superheroes, and Loki. I've also been impressed with what I've seen of Captain America, too. Those two are building up to next summer's Avengers movie, with Iron Man, Hulk, etc., so I hope they...

Re: So...

In chronological order: Thor (May 6) X-Men: First Class (June 3) Green Lantern (June 17) Captain America: The First Avenger (July 22) - Why this one isn't getting released on July 4 is beyond me, I'm baffled Cowboys and Aliens (July 29) - It's not superhero, but it's based on a graphic novel, so I'm...
