Re: What's for dinner?
I'm always looking for easy meals that I can make quickly. Like those 5 ingredients or less recipes...but not 5 obscure ingredients -- just stuff I might actually keep in my kitchen. Anybody got some good ones?

Why does this make chicken thaw better? I always do it that way, but I don't know the reasoning behind it.Dragon Lady wrote:Stick it in a bowl of water.NerdGirl wrote:Tonight I am having chicken, spaghetti squash, and peas. But only if the chicken thaws out soon. If it doesn't, I'm having popcorn and a ring pop.

Re: What's for dinner?
Last night, we had my infamous "shortcut lasagna" and salad (spinach, sliced strawberries, and poppy seed dressing), and we invited some friends over to come enjoy it with us. Story: In my family, it's become a tradition around Christmas that each of the kids cooks something special for di...

Hmm. Well, since I brought up my siblings earlier, I should say that they all took American Heritage sometime in the early to mid-90s. They're quite a bit older than me...

Re: 62376 Presidential Best and Worst
I definitely enjoyed it as well. Took me back to the days of AP US History in high school...which reminds me -- does American Heritage at BYU cover anything past the Constitution era? I was having this discussion with my siblings the other day, and we couldn't remember. It's been like 5 or 6 years s...

Being laid back is also a personal goal of mine, although I have no kids. I tend to be extremely laid back in social situations and extremely uptight about anything that "really matters" to me. Things that really matter include fixing spelling errors, fixing grammatical errors, locking doo...

Please do. This kind of feedback would be a gold mine for their user experience staff (that's my job -- but I don't work for the Church).Rifka wrote:I think I'm actually going to submit this input to NFS as feedback.

Hmm...I had a crazy roommate who would scream in the shower and shoot nerf guns into her mouth. But I think she was just trying to be funny. She also liked to blow up stuff on our balcony.

Wow. Your marriage sounds like one of the strongest and greatest marriages that ever existed. Honestly. I'm sure the pornography issue is difficult, but a support system like that is incredible. Good for you.

Yeah, I think they do their best to try and copy some real questions...then they throw in a bunch of riddle-type questions to fill out the rest of the test. If they weren't so dang expensive, I'd like to take an actual IQ test sometime.

Re: Nine for Random Chatter, doomed to die
Depends. I'm not much of a morning person, so I tend to work better at night and get more accomplished. There's just something about the darkness and the quiet of the night...and the fact that you're the only one awake. It helps me think clearly, like my brain has suddenly come alive -- which is ver...

Re: Picky eaters
When I was a kid, I think my main reason for refusing food was because it looked and/or smelled funny (chicken tetrazzini...what the heck is THAT?). I also refused certain foods (mostly vegetables) because my brothers and sisters didn't like them. And for a while, I got really tired of hamburgers be...

Today was easily my most stressful day at work thus far. And I didn't handle it well. Nor did it make me more productive. Nope, not one bit.

Re: DC and Autotune
I think the whole fireworks-popping-out-of-her-chest thing is just a tad strange. But I really like the song, so...meh.
(Except for the first line. "Do you ever feel like a plastic bag?" Really Katy? You couldn't come up with a better first line?)

DC has definitely done some great songs over the years. Single Ladies, Halo, Provo Utah Girls... All excellent.
