Re: Talking about money on a first date...?
Portia I actually laughed out loud at what you wrote. Very true, I should have said that xD bismark, that sounds really lame. I just think money is definitely a subject one shouldn't bring up on the first date. Especially when it makes the other person feel guilty... And yes, it probably is because ...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's weird and uncomfortable and wrong.
He also told me his parents' salary. In front of his parents. Talk about awkward.

Re: Do anyone of you live in your "hometown"?
I don't really have a hometown. I lived in Arizona until middle school, lived in Oklahoma for the worst two years of my life, and now I've been living in the midwest (or south, I'm literally right on the border) for the last four years. But yes, I still live at home. I guess I consider AZ where I gr...

Talking about money on a first date...?
So recently I went on a "date" (I put it in quotes because he never really said it was a date but it was just us two and he paid for everything) with someone I know. It was so awkward because he kept talking about how he doesn't have enough money to do stuff (like pay for insurance and gas...

Re: Answers I liked
Ah I want to learn ASL so badly. That will probably be one of the first classes I take when I get to college. It's such a beautiful and expressive language and I just want to be able to use it!

There's a thumb drive hidden in the BYU library? Is that part of everyone's application process...?Whistler wrote:The best part was when I got part 2 on the thumb drive hidden in a book in the BYU library. Now I can't remember if that actually happened with my application, or if I'm remembering something else.

How you became a writer
So I'm curious–what is it like to become a writer? We all understand what it's like to be one, but what are your experience on applying, probation, waiting to hear back from the editors, etc.? How hard is it to become a writer?

Do you guys remember that question about the 2048 game? Yeah I started playing it after that question posted and I've been trying to get it ever since. I finally got it last week and I feel so accomplished... Everyone at my school started playing it after I showed it to a bunch of people so I guess ...

Re: Introduce Yourselves!
Hi guys! Anglophile, I recognized you vaguely from your nym, so then I went to the Board and stalked you by searching for "Anglophile." I noticed you asked a lot of questions about medical/biological stuff. Is that a career path that interests you? Yes actually! I'm really interested in t...

Hi! I'm the anglophile and you may have seen me ask questions... or maybe not... I feel kind of silly posting this here because I still have no idea how this website works and I'm not even sure if people will see it... Anyways I'm probably the youngest person around here (or maybe not, I don't know...

Yeah, conference is great so far! I think the older you get the more enjoyable it is. Watching conference as a 10 year old was a punishment to me haha... They sang Lead Kindly Light first session, which is my favorite hymn so that was awesome. And I don't even think it's possible to not like Elder H...
