Re: #79611 - &c.

Funnily enough, I had written a question in my class journal answered by the comment. Who knew that the ampersand was a stylized et? It makes sense though.

That would be the one. I would be more surprised if it wasn't the same person, especially given your BYU background.

Re: Mental illness is dumber

Yeah, no. I like cooking and that approach doesn't work for me. Usually my depression is coupled with anxiety which makes spending anything that could possibly be excess money just about impossible for me. Instant oatmeal is one of my go-tos, so I don't know if this is any help on the effort level. ...

One of my friends from BYU posted that one of the infected healthcare workers lives in her apartment complex in Dallas. That's a little too close to home right now.

Re: Book Recommendations

I read a lot of fairy tale twists and historical fiction when I was young. Maybe something like The Westing Game? Ella Enchanted still rings true with me. Those do skew easier reading.

Re: favorite unusual course at BYU

I took bookbinding and wildlife biology. Actually, all of the honors classes I took were pretty great with the exception of the American Heritage one, and even that was probably better than taking American Heritage.

Re: In the news

Just in case it needs to be said I believe that much good comes from letting everyone participate in a discussion without feeling pressure to keep quiet. Women often have a different viewpoint from men, which is very valuable to have presented in a discussion, and I would want them to feel free to ...

Something that technically breaks the word of wisdom for flavor purposes? And less than a teaspoon? I'm sure you already do that with vanilla. If you go the "avoid alcohol altogether" route, you would have no flavor extracts. Honestly, if there's a reasonable substitution (the pero or post...

Re: Youth Activities in the Church

Ugh. I think my parents' ward is getting better on the equality front because they have a professional young women's president who likes to encourage the YW of the ward to figure out what they love. Also, the bishop is a former scout master who actually listens to feedback. But growing up, I didn't ...

If it's not required, is it recommended?

Also: I have a place to live and a quiet roommate and I'm in the neighborhood I wanted. I am thrilled.

Yes, I did. I did well on both sections. 170 is the top score in either quantitative or verbal. What else are you looking for?

PMs work for me, as do emails. I should be in central Texas ~16th. You know, if I ever find a place to live. I'm literally talking to 3 potential roommates right now and am fairly sure all of them will fall through. Maybe one won't, but that's all I need.

That's essentially the reason I'm related to everyone who has either St. George (or surrounding areas) or Ogden as their ancestral home.

P.S. Katya, you're my 9th cousin, as is Yog in Neverland.

Hehehe, collegiate days. It makes me feel so young. Jimmy Eat World was the first CD I bought myself. Panic! at the Disco was a junior high thing for me initially. Still like them both though, so I can't act hipster superior.

Gibson tuck, rolled braids (single braid rolled up from the end and pinned kind of like a bun), etc. Basically, simple updos seem like your best bet.
