I concur. I love the creativity, and it makes me smile when I see what they were referring to, but it makes me click on each one to find out what they were, and sometimes I am just too lazy for that. Maybe put something closer to the old version in parentheses after your cool ones?

Sweet son of spell check indeed!

I can also vouch that the amazing mint brownies from the CONE are made from a ginormous bag of mix, much like the box of brownies you get from the store. Except the bag is about 25 lbs. We did make our own frosting though. The salsa, on the other hand, is made entirely from scratch, since I often sa...

I think they are a great thing, but they are sure hard to get people to agree to them. By people, I mean stubborn teenagers. From the teacher standpoint, it was hard to enforce a dress code with so much variety going on. For example we didn't want girls running around in skirts that didn't cover eno...

I chose "other". My mom drove out with me from Ohio and we stayed with her family up in Salt Lake City for a week or so, spending a lot of time buying bedding and things we didn't haul across the country for my new dorm room. Then she had to leave before the actual day I could move in to D...

See, and for me, it all depends on the frames that people chose. Some people look really hot in their glasses, and some people look downright hideous. For me, I like to have nice frames so that I don't look bad in them, but if I don't put in my contacts it's because I am just being lazy on any given...

So true. And yet, I have to agree that it is also my goal to have a question appear here. Even if I have no control over it, it is still something I dream of.

No, but my in-laws have a family forum with a front page that looks too similar to this one, so I keep typing in TheAnswerIs42 instead of my real name in the box and trying to log in there. OOps . . .

I want to agree with what Portia said a bit here too. I mean, I enjoyed Harry Potter, and I did think she had a Dickens-like talent for weaving her plots together through the seven books. Her characters were certainly better for me than those in Twilight. So that's why I used HP to compare for those...

Twilight = Twinkie?

Was anyone else actually with Slap to Quell the Hysteria on this one? I mean, I am proud of a BYU grad selling so many books and all, but I personally felt like it was a rather poorly done book series. Don't get me wrong, she has a plot engaging enough to make me curious about what happens next, so ...

In my hometown in Ohio our Ward usually had a 24th get-together on a Saturday near the holiday itself. All I remember was dressing up in pioneer costumes as a kid for a little parade thing. So yeah, non-Utah has little events, but only Church-run ones.

Okay, I might be the only dense one here, but exactly who are each of these referring to? I mean, I know Hobbes is the stuffed tiger from Calvin's comic strip. But which 'nyms are the rest of these referring to?

Back to the raccoon thing, I just wanted to throw in that last week at girl's camp our priesthood brethren woke up at 1:30 am to rustling and went to investigate the eating area. They found the fattest raccoon they have ever seen. It was so big around that it's belly was dragging on the ground. Appa...

I actually love wet blanket. But I also enjoyed Jerk, Irrelevant, and other side 'nyms that were just there to throw in a mean or random joke. The bad grammar thing can get to me after a while, but I have to say I had a harder time with Brit Boy than CATS for some reason. I guess it just always took...

My story is very similar. Minus the writer part. Just wandering through the Wilk, and found a board with very random stuff on it. I remember reading 31009 not too long after I got hooked and laughing way too hard. Then I proceeded to spend way way too much time standing in that one spot reading way ...

I might have had negative feelings about dating an ex, except for the fact that I can't even count the number of times that I dumped my husband. He just kept coming back . . . which probably had a lot to do with why I married him. But yeah, it can work just fine. We kept breaking up and getting back...
