Re: Happy Days in Random Chatter 10
Isaiah chapters in English: hard, but doable. Isaiah chapters in Italian: I have no idea what's going on. Lately I've been reading some Isaiah chapters in my Italian Book of Mormon. I don't know all the Italian words, so I just reconstruct what it would say in English. Why would the Italian be more...

First, is that supposed to be "uninformed" instead of "uniformed"? Watch those n's! And now random ideas: An innocent who is blind in one eye and thus their involvement in accusations will shift it one person to the right (or whose name is next in the alphabet or whatever) A preg...

Just finished Dragonsteel--obviously it wasn't as great as Brandon's later (i.e. actually published) stuff, but I enjoyed reading it for the Cosmere nonetheless.

Re: #78280 breast size / transgender individuals
In effect, you are telling this person that they are an idiot and you are not and that you don't respect them. It is incredibly, incredibly, repulsively offensive to choose to use the incorrect gender pronoun when talking to or about a trans* person. I think everyone, trans* or not, deserves the ba...

I was walking on campus and noticed a noise coming out of a vent on the ground. First instinct was that the tunnel worms were making that noise. Second instinct was that worms don't sound like that, so they must just like air conditioning this time of year.

Maledire and Benedire are "to curse" and "to bless," respectively. Makes sense.

legerdemain - skillful use of one's hands when performing conjuring tricks Isn't that "light of hand" in French all squished together, or am I just making things up? You're correct. And now I'm wondering about the etymology of "slight of hand"--" light of hand" makes m...

Re: 12 grade sci fi reading options poll
Okay, for the main set, I only voted for The Hot Zone because it's the only one on that list that I actually read in high school (though I did pick up Neuromancer later on, I wasn't a fan, and I don't throw books I didn't like at others if I can help it). I'm 95% sure that HZ is missing the "fi...

I recently got Ghost Trick for my iPhone, and I loved everything about it, but now I've got Inspector Cabanela's theme stuck in my head all the time...though this might be caused by my returning to listen to it frequently. It's just so...catchy!

I think page 3's results might have to get thrown out since the orientation of the agree/disagree spectrum changes from the previous page and I didn't notice until I was halfway through it.
