Re: Naked Roommate

There was a recent question where a girl was uncomfortable with her roommate wearing low cut tank tops around the house when her boyfriend was there. I'm guessing the naked question was directed at Luciana because of her response to the tank top question. I'm not sure if it was the same question ask...

Naked Roommate

http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/86104/ If I was 19 again (that's important) and didn't get along with the roommate, I would just let out my inner sociopath by inviting people over without notice. You know, to see what would happen. ..... I was in a sorority (....yes that kind) a...

Re: Rant of the Day

HAHA. Well, I can honestly say I'd rather have my severed tendon and stitches around my hand than episiotomy stitches. But that's just me. Both get in the way of everyday functioning and would be super annoying without sleep. Which is why I get annoyed with the absolutes of "you could never abc...

Re: Rant of the Day

So there are 18 babies due in my ward right now. This might be normal for a provo ward. Not sure? But I live it Texas, so this is not even close to normal for us. Anyways, the RS presidency I think got a little too excited about this. So, in their monthly email announcements, my Relief Society annou...

Re: April Fool's Day 2016

At my office, we have visitor parking signs in some of the spots close to the entrance. Someone at my office replaced one of those signs with a sign for their boss and some inside joke about him that I didn't get. I was mostly impressed because they had a custom metal sign made to replace the other ...

Re: conservative people, who will you vote for?

But then, I think that Hillary believes a lot of the same things as Bernie, she's just afraid to admit it. Which I suppose is a small plus. Personally, I think the far-left Democratic view of her is patently absurd. The Republican view is probably a little more accurate. (Not talking about Benghazi...

Re: conservative people, who will you vote for?

Bernie Sanders and his "democratic socialism" is basically just communism for a post-capitalist society. I'll say! I especially don't like his platform of executing the royal family, seizing farmland and ordering the proletariat to work in collectivist agrarian communes, using central pla...

Re: conservative people, who will you vote for?

In the early stages, I liked: Fiorina, Carson, Cruz, Paul, Walker (in no particular order) Then I kind of stopped caring for Carson because he got awkward and everyone else dropped out so...Cruz it is. Even though I'm actually one of those crazies who loves the Paul family and in 2008 I wrote "...

Re: it can't happen here

I think it is safe to say that many Trump followers would feel the same way about The Bern, maybe a little less for Clinton. Just for different ideological reasons. If you look at it that way, sideways, your feelings are more common than you'd think. BUT. I'm not going to pretend to be a Trump fan. ...

maybe you've seen it, maybe you haven't.

I'm not saying the reader is saying their parents are assholes, but it's still good advice.

Re: Buying a House

We recently bought a house. I felt like it was more of a financial decision than anything since we know it's a place we will be selling in a few years. So pretty much every decision was based on "sell-ability" That's not the issue for everyone, but if it is, here are my thoughts: #1 Make s...

the modesty shaming valentines letter #85338

The only thing I have to say about whether or not leggings make short things modest is this EFY book from the 80's http://www.abebooks.com/Feeling-Great-Doing-Right-Hanging-Tough/955757620/bd but let's be clear I don't wear bike shorts under my shorts. but hey...if that's your thing I'm not going to...

Re: second wedding gift

By "second wedding" do you mean "both spouses have been in a marriage before," or "they had a small destination wedding and they're married already and now they want to throw a bigger party"? i mean that they have been married before. not that it matters for gifting, b...

second wedding gift

I'm going to a last minute "encore" wedding this valentines weekend. I hear that with second weddings, gifts are not supposed to be as expected. But it's not like everyone knows that or goes by it. Would it be terrible of me to not bring a gift? Or just a small gift? more info: The bride a...

Re: impulsive drinking - 85066

I specifically remember my YSA bishop saying the only reason we had to confess anything to him was if it was chastity related, something illegal, if we were participating in "self destructive behavior," or if we weren't feeling very repentant about something we would otherwise handle alone...

angry parents

http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/85012/ If Duchess reads this... I would have lost my cool with the mom too. She pretty much committed all the sins of bad confrontation. She opened the "conversation" with an accusation, disrespected you with an insult, and then provoked you with more insu...

Gift Money #85056

http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/85056/ too lazy to make it pretty I have a set of vague rules for myself when it comes to being gifted money. The person is, in a way, giving me the money to spend as proxy for them so I feel this (maybe silly) sense of stewardship over the money. It makes me feel ...
