Re: reading facial expressions quiz
I got a 13/20. I answered fairly quickly though, and probably could have figured them out if I'd taken more time. I think answering quickly is part of the point. In real life, you have to judge these sorts of reaction in just a moment. I took a much better (imo) version of this quiz a month or two a...

Re: transgender at BYU
Slightly off-topic story that made me think of this thread. A lady came into work today. Didn't think anything was odd at first. Then I looked at her ID. Steven. I asked what she preferred to go by and she said "Anna! My body really doesn't match my legal gender any more. I mean, look at me!&qu...

Re: What's for dinner?
today I was wondering if DL sees pizza dough like I see making naan -- I've never done it before! But it looks like it's about a simple as making pizza, so next time I make Indian food I want to make naan with it. Naan is easier than pizza dough. I have an absolute terror of anything involving yeas...

Badge of honor, no problem. Discomfort, well... he'd better be a good enough kisser to make up for it.

Re: Facial hair on men
The big concern is does it give "beard burn"? Day or two old stubble does. I'm not sure how long it has to be to avoid that if you're kissing more than just a little peck. Having not kissed a guy with real facial hair (or not really kissed), I don't know what the tipping point is.

Re: Facial hair on men
I'm all for interesting shave pattern beards or goatees. Not a full beard. I know a few guys who look good with it, but it's really not my thing. And shorter looks nicer. But it needs to definitely be grown out, not just unshaven. I do reserve the right to suddenly change this opinion if that one cu...

Re: What's for dinner?
Chicken and Broccoli Braid I'm trying this tonight! :) Thanks for the recipe, Digit. I hope you liked it, SmurfBlueSnuggie :) Honestly, I haven't had it from personal experience and just thought it looked good from the pictures on that recipe site I'll have to try it too. It was really yummy! I did...

Chicken salad for lunches. Fried rice (although it's much better with ham than with chicken). Chicken soup.

Re: little factories
How would you define the difference between someone who avoids masturbation because of tradition and one who avoids it due to personal conviction that it is not the right choice for them? The two reasonings are often tightly interconnected. But there's going to be a lot more social guilt associated...

My sister and I are going ring shopping together. And then dress shopping. We're going to take turns being the bride and the maid of honor at the dress shops.

Concorde, sorry if my email seems odd. I put down thoughts, then hit send before fleshing them out. I'm sure the point got across though. :p

Re: 76017 Frozen
I think Olaf has moments. When he introduces himself and Anna realizes who he is, it's just adorable. And I enjoyed a couple of other scenes where he was sweetly innocent. But most of the time it was way too overdone and annoying.

Re: 76017 Frozen
I agree with DL. The true love song was not something I loved. Otherwise I thought it was charming.
I still have one point of confusion. Wasn't seeing magic supposed to mess Anna up? How is she safe mentally now that she sees Elsa's powers?

Twitch Winks
This person seems to be concerned about potentially giving the wrong impression. I know they didn't ask about it, so I thought I'd share my story regarding that here instead of a comment. My freshman year I knew a guy who had this same quirk. I was convinced he liked me because he kept winking at m...
