I did see that one! I really liked the way that part played out, too.mic0 wrote:Did any of you watch the recent Simpsons episode where Marge goes to therapy? I thought it was really touching.

My mom the ER doc says that she sees this relatively frequently: Mom: "Do you know if you're pregnant?" Patient: "I'm not pregnant." Mom: "Is there any way you could be pregnant?" Patient: "No, I haven't slept with anyone in two years." *Mom orders pregnancy t...

Re: dad's girlfriend
Eirene, having taught Primary and YW, I find myself often confronted that. My lesson topic is on Eternal Families and I know several of the students are not currently sealed as a family. How would you suggest approaching a situation like that? I try to be conscious of what I say, but I also don't w...

For what it's worth, I've also been asked to raise my hand if I was BIC a few times in various wards. I suspect that it's happened to everyone here, but I don't think it's as memorable if it makes you one of the "good guys." As another person who was not "BIC," I will second the ...

Re: headaches = stroke?
Yeah, a TIA was my first thought as well, but after thinking about it, I might lean towards a provoked seizure+headache type thing, caused either by a tumor or by an acute-to-chronic bleed. I also think it's pretty concerning for a nonepileptic spell. My long shot guess might be an atypical migraine...

Answers I Liked Writing: http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/73694/ I didn't realize that I really kind of enjoy doing math. It was strangely interesting to answer this question, and I don't really care if no one else reads it. I just had fun writing it. I read your answer! And I have to ask--do you ...

In general, I'm not the biggest fan of little yippy dogs, but I have known a few really sweet, relatively chill chihuahuas, and sometimes they kind of remind me of baby deers and I like that.

Anyone else think this sounds more like a dream/nightmare than an actual movie trailer? Especially since the asker said it was from when they were young, I kind of wonder whether it's some kind of faulty remembrance of a bad dream they had.

Vorpal, given that my breasts seriously could be on a muscular or heavy guy, yeah, I really don't get it. If the one sight is extremely stimulating, why isn't the other (for guys or girls)? In fact, a guy who's that muscular just might be extremely attractive to a lot of women. But he wouldn't need...

I use Firefox and LastPass. I do have to re-enter the LastPass master password when I restart the browser (for security purposes, I think), but I've never had to re-install or wait for updates or anything.

Re: Happy Days in Random Chatter 10
UTIs are very common in women, especially in young, sexually active women. Basically, women have short urethras (easier for bacteria to colonize and ascend) that are much more likely to be exposed to fecal bacteria like E. coli (since they're about two inches away from the source instead of like eig...

I've heard a comparison to a huge, long stand of bleachers full of people doing the wave. Once the cheerleaders can convince enough people at one end to start (transduction!), the wave will propagate until it hits a boundary (which would be a synapse, but I don't know whether you need to work those ...

Sooo, some of you knit/crochet. Are any of you on ravelry? I would love to have more people I know on there to stalk. :) And plus then you can see pics of my awkward socks! I'm on there! Re: Wedding registry
Yeah, definitely make sure you have enough items to choose from, and at a variety of price points (from under $10 to $100+). It's okay if you end up registering for some things you're not entirely convinced you need; you end up returning a lot of things for store credit anyway. It's really fun to ha...

We put some board games and party games on our registry, and they were pretty much the first things to go. And then people kept commenting how they were sad that someone else had bought us the games first. I think people like to feel like they're giving you something fun!

Re: The life of a farm animal #71854
Just so nobody accuses me of not doing my research, I've been interested in animal husbandry and welfare for a while, and I actually have visited a lot of different kinds of farms and a few slaughterhouses, even. There are some farms (mostly hobby farms) that are like little slices of heaven, with l...

I almost always do baked ziti, some kind of zucchini pasta (either this one or this one), or enchilada pie.
But I also think your casserole option is different enough from a chili/stew that even if the flavors/ingredients overlap, nobody will think twice about it.
