Marijuana in the Garden of Eden?!!
Marijuana in the Garden of Eden?!!
So watching the endowment video (the one with the brunette Eve), I've noticed that there's a tree that appears several times in the Garden of Eden that looks similar to...well...marijuana leaves. It's especially prominent in one scene which shows a pair of doves. I've always wondered what that tree was. After a little searching, I finally found it: Japanese maple (Acer palmatum cultivar 'Sango Kaku'). I no longer have to wonder.

Hemp makes fine ropes, tobacco makes for ideal poultices and mosquitoes primarily eat nectar, the females only take a blood meal to develop their eggs. Pre-fall, no worries there. It is rather difficult to think of something that would truly be out of place in the Garden of Eden.

Vampire bats? Yes, I believe so. As for eating meat, I don't think there is any reference to man eating meat until after the flood, so I doubt it would be that hard to imagine animals in the Garden being similarly inclined.vorpal blade wrote:Interesting. I wonder what the meat eaters ate. Do vampires mostly eat fruits?

Considering we believe that the Garden of Eden was in Missouri, unless there was a deep lake nearby, then yes the blue whale would be out of place. But I don't think the Blue Whale actually counts as not being able to fit into the Garden as it could physically not live there.
